Hello, KH fans! This is a series of drabbles written for Xion Week on Tumblr. Xion is my favorite character in all of Kingdom Hearts (tied with Roxas, of course), and I just couldn't pass up the chance to pay tribute to her. I hope you enjoy!

In addition to Xion, this is dedicated to my girlfriend, who likes this character just as much as I do. Love you lots, my Xion.

DISCLAIMER: Kingdom Hearts belongs to Disney and Square Enix. I do not stand to profit from this work in any way. Disney, Square, don't listen to the haters, Xion is one awesome person and she deserves to be brought back in KH3.

Don't Be Sad

"DiZ…he could feel Sora."

"Oh, he told you how he 'felt', did he? Ridiculous. A Nobody cannot feel anything."

"…If he had met Sora…things might have been different."

These voices played on the edges of Roxas' mind, but he drowned them out as best he could. He didn't care about them anymore. He didn't care about Xemnas or Sora or Kingdom Hearts or anything else. He cared about one thing, and one thing only.

Her.

He had almost lost her memory entirely now. He couldn't even remember her name anymore. All he knew was her face, her beautiful face. He knew that if he lost that face, he would forget her for good. But it seemed that the more he focused on it, the harder it became to picture.

As it started to fade to black, he found he couldn't bring it back. Deep inside, he began screaming and crying, as if in agonizing pain. Who is she?! he asked over and over, still holding out for an answer. Who is she?! Who is she?! WHO IS SHE?!

Roxas, don't be sad.

Suddenly, Roxas felt a warm touch, as if he were being held tight. The memories came back to him in their entirety, just one last time. He saw himself at the clocktower, with the girl hugging him. He hugged back, never wanting to let go.

I came from you and Sora. I am you, the same way that I am Sora.

Roxas was about to plead to her that that was wrong, that she was herself and no one else. But then he realized that she sounded happy about this. As if everything finally made sense.

You'll forget me…but the memories themselves will never go away.

Roxas smiled, just a little. If he wouldn't really forget her…if some small part of her would stay with him…then he would be okay.

Memories of you and me will always be together…forever, inside him.

The girl gave him one last tight squeeze and began to walk away. Roxas wanted to follow, but he knew he couldn't. But he wasn't sad. He wasn't about to let her down now.

As she faded out of existence, she waved back to him with a cheerful smile on her face, as if she would only be gone for a day, or a week. Roxas found himself grinning. He knew they would be together again, very soon. And until then…

"Goodbye…Xion."

Okay, so Day One was to choose your favorite quote, and I just knew I had to do her final lines. Yeah, they're really, really sad (like everything else in this game), but they also add a spark of hope to her story. Boiled down, it's basically her going to the person who misses her so much without knowing who he's missing, and saying, "Hey, it's okay. I'm still here. See you soon." And not only is that beautiful and touching, it sums up Xion's entire character perfectly and brings a satisfying conclusion to the a very sad tale. That's what makes this my favorite quote from Xion.

I hope you enjoyed this short story. Remember, reviews are always appreciated. Thanks for reading, and tune in for more from Xion Week!
