It's to late.
I opened my eyes and just lied there. It took me a minute to realize I wasn't home. Where was I? What had just happened? All I know was that I felt a lot of pain in my head and had multiple casts on.
"Gaz?" I called. I remember I had been with her. I tried to look to my side but it hurt my head too much. I just stared at the ceiling. Then it hit me, I was in the hospital. But, where was everyone? How did I end up here? Slowly I start to remember little details. Gaz and I were going after Zim, but she was being stubborn. And Zim had been talking about some new weapon of his. Then I remember falling. A lot of falling.
"Son? Please tell me you are okay!" Dad ran in to the room I was in. He came next to me and held my one hand that wasn't in a cast. "Dad what happened?" I could see his Dads face out of the corner of my eye, and what I saw startled me. He was crying. "You and your foreign friend fell down a large hole, far down into his base. As did" he paused and choked on a tear "Gaz" he cried even more on the mention of her name. I was really getting worried.
"Where is she?" was all I could mutter out, hoping my conclusion I made in my head was incorrect. Then I remembered it all.
We had fallen, all three of us. Gaz had screamed and when she landed she hit her head on the volt cruiser. She screamed a blood-curdling scream and sort of gave up, with blood spilling out of her head and mouth. Zim's little robots went up to her and tried to help her but Zim stopped them. "Its to late." those were the last words I heard before I passed out.
"No. NO!" I screamed trying to get myself up. "Son, calm down. We are just lucky that you are okay! You landed on your arm and didn't go through any severe damage." he was trying to make me feel better. But soon he stood up and left the room, realizing that it was no use. It was to late for Gaz, and it's to late for me.
