"Finally here...", Akako thought, as she stepped off the plane. All her life, she had fantasied of green countryside and small, rural cottages, served by friendly postmen on bicycles. Feeling unfulfilled and cast out in her homeland, her weight and size often the butt-end of jokes, Akako, a female Charizard, decided to study abroad, in a country that she had previously only dreamed about.
The customs officer, a stern-looking servine, looked at her passport, and the paperwork for her university, located in the southwest. He then grabbed his stamp pad and his stamp, and planted the stamp down on Akako's passport. "There you are, love, all set. Enjoy your study here...", he said, handing Akako her documents. As Akako walked through, and retrieved her baggage, she suddenly felt strange, as she looked around at unfamiliar sights. Searching for the underground, she looked at the directory, and felt confused. Eventually, she did find the underground, and, looking at the network map, found her stop, a large railway station.
Boarding the roughly round-shaped underground train, Akako found many pokemon that she was less than familiar with, having seen mostly on imported television programmes. She looked out the window, as the train went above the ground, and saw some nice, quaint suburbs. Those suburbs then melded in to much dirtier areas, which greatly contrasted with Akako's fantasies. The train then went back underground, to more famous areas. During this time, the train filled up with more pokemon, who could have cared less about bumping in to Akako.
Akako finally arrived at the railway station, which was a massive, iron structure, built a century ago, and still just as majestic. She handed in her reservation paper, and received her railway ticket, to her destination. Akako found her platform, and her train to the southwest. Unlike what she had seen previously, this was a much more modern looking train, pushed and pulled by 2 pointed, yellow-faced diesel engines. She got on the train, and found her reserved seat. Not long afterwards, a conductor blew his whistle, and the train departed. Akako watched as dirty industrial areas and railway sidings dissolved in to surprisingly green suburbs and blocks of flats, which dissolved further in to smaller suburbs, before, with a small and brief industrial area, eventually became countryside, punctuated by several small towns and trees, and a single railway yard.
Eventually, Akako reached her destination, a famous port town, with plenty of row houses built upon the hills long ago, painted in multiple colours. By now, she was well worn-out from all of the travel, and looked forward to checking in to the university, and getting a good night's sleep...
