The wagon moved slowly heaving and creaking struggling against the hard climb and uneven terrain. Regalyan peered out the small window in the wagon to spy only snow all around. It wasn't the first time that Regalyan visited Haven. Upon thinking of the small town his mind called up memories of his last visit. 'Cassandra" he thought and the mental image of the hard headed Seeker brought a slight smile to his face.

His traveling companion wasn't faring as well, he looked uneasy and slightly nauseous, it seemed that the wagon ride was taking its toll, 'not uncommon' Galyan thought since most mages are unused to travel and reading or trying to at least would only make things worse.

Reaching into his Satchel, Galyan began rummaging through, now where was it? I swear I packed a few... Aha! he exclaimed loudly, fishing out a ginger sweet Galyan offered it to his companion with a smile

The other enchanter looked at his proffered hand curiously.

"A Ginger sweet you look a little green around the gills, it works wonders"

The enchanter accepted the sweet gratefully smiling in return and popped it into his mouth

"I thank you Serah...?" The enchanter replied with a questioning tone

"Regalyan D'Marcall of the White Spire" he replied his voice carrying an Orlesian lilt "But you may call me Galyan"

"Daemon Trevelyan of the Ostwick Circle but please call me Daemon" he replied while extending his hand to Galyan."

Galyan shook his hand and took a moment to examine the mage , to a southerner Daemon looked quite striking, he had dark skin, thick curly black hair,a thick but groomed beard, eyes with an unusual brownish gold color, a patrician nose and a detailed beautifully drawn tattoo around his left eye and right brow.

Daemon noticing Galyan's gaze explained "My mother's from Rivain" he pointed to his tattoo, i got this when i was 13"

"Forgive me it does look a bit strange in the south, only Chasind and Dalish elves have such markings"

"You are Orlesian? " asked Daemon

"Guilty " Galyan replied smiling but then he turned pensive asking "You are a long way from Ostwick Daemon are you here as a representative as well?"

"Of sorts, I'm here on behalf of my family and the circle" Daemon replied his face turning grim "I'd rather not be here to be honest, but...I made a promise" he finished slowly.

Galyan sensing Daemon's distress replied slowly "It is an unfortunate situation all around but ceasing fire is a good start no? Maybe something good could come out of this conclave"

"Maybe but I'm reserving judgement for now"

"Fair enough, oh we are here..!" Galyan exclaimed as the wagon slowed even further and stopped

"Finally" Daemon replied as he stood shakily eager to put his feet on solid ground.

The scene that greeted the two mages was a bit unusual. The sleepy little town of haven seemed to groan under the weight of so many people, mages, templars, mercenaries, humans, elves , dwarves and...

"Is that a..." trailed Galyan wondrously

"Qunari" finished Daemon as he looked at the hulking creature with massive horns barking orders at a mishmash of soldiers of various races including 2 other Qunaris.

"Well I can safely say this is shaping up to be more and more interesting by the minute my new friend" Galyan smiled and turned to face Daemon.

"Talk about unusual sights" Daemon confirmed

"Indeed...Well i would hate to leave you but I really need to see someone before we head to the temple"

"It's alright Galyan you go and I will walk around for a while, get some air meet you up there? " asked Daemon pointing at the temple of sacred ashes"

"Wouldn't miss it"

The couple shook hands again and went their separate ways.
