A.N I reedited this. Reason is simple-I noticed few missing words in this story.

They meet on a sunny afternoon.
She was going on a visit, he was trying to clear his head of thoughts about her. They weren't paying any attention to the road, thinking about their own problems. In a moment of absent-mindless they collide with each other. He, not paying any attention, helps her up. He catches a glimpse of her face. It's Her.
He was too shocked when she apologized and went on her way.

He comes out of the shock, ready to run after her, and realizes it's too late. He sadly goes on his way,not knowing if he will see his soulmate again.

It seems fate is on their side.
They meet again in a ball. He was passing time- talking with acquaintances and watching happy couples dancing. Suddenly music stops and all eyes are on the grand stairways.
On the stairways were standing a breathtaking couple, obviously brother and sister. His eyes are on the girl. Joy overtakes him for they meet again. As they descent from the stairs, "an excellent match", "belle of the Season", "brother is a Duke" is whispered all around the ballroom.

He ignores this and introduces himself to the siblings.

It was one of the happiest periods of his life.
After the ball he called on her every morning. In these visits, they often went for a walk.

They talk about their interests, their lives and enjoys each others company.

After a while, their friendship grows to courtship and he finally tells the truth about him.

She is angry and refuses to talk .

It is unbearable for him and one night he sneaks in to her room and begs for forgiveness. She reluctantly forgives him.

In a moment of happiness, he proposes.

He asks blessing to her brother.
At first her brother, Ethan, was reluctant to agree for he doesn't want to lose his little sister, but at the end Ethan agreed.

The Wedding is to take place shortly before her 17th birthday.

Alas,it isn't meant to be.
When he had finally allowed himself to hope, fate rips them apart.
After engagement was made public,he tightens already tight security around her.
"Everything seems to be peaceful,"they reported.

He should have know better. Day before the wedding she was found dead.

Now,standing before her coffin,he blames himself. He swears on her grave,as he had done before,- next time everything will be different.
He turns to leave as the coffin is lowered in to its resting place.
