No More

Gallifrey in dire straits, for the end the Time Lord waits.

From the war his people suffer and longingly wish for the days of yore.

Desperately they wished the morrow would bring an end to the plague from Skaro,

Rescue them from extreme sorrow, and end at last the last Time War.

Finally, when all hope is lost, a good man goes to war,

He is the Doctor no more.

And upon this Time Lord weary, falls a burden he feels dearly.

Though many tried, all have failed, and he alone can end the war.

The Doctor in his strange blue boat, many Daleks he did smote,

And on the wall a message wrote, seen by all the council lords,

A promise or a threat, he left it there for the council lords

Quoth the Doctor, "No more."

The Doctor came, his anger roused, and this new motto he espoused

He makes a vow to end the violence and says to all, "No more."

To the Omega Arsenal he went, though almost all options had been spent,

To use the Moment is what he meant – and so the Doctor goes to war.
The Doctor's promise put aside, so to end the last Time War,

Quoth the Doctor, "No more."

Alone he stood in silence peering, into the darkness that was nearing,

And suddenly out of silence said a voice, "It's just a wolf, and nothing more."

Hearing it the Doctor started, and from his reverie he parted,

And saw a girl most heavy-hearted, sitting there upon the floor.

There she sat and judged him dearly - in the dust upon the floor.

Quoth the Doctor, "No more."
