The years slip by

And many die,

Lives lived, lives lost,

Many wonder if it's worth the cost.

For all our tomorrows

They gave their own,

With blood, sweat and tear,

In hope that peace will be born.

But man never learns

And so pays the price,

By sending his children

To make the ultimate sacrifice.

They faced their fears,

They shed no tears,

Lives young, lives old,

Lives that stopped, their bones grown cold

And once again we gather here,

Before stone carved in remembrance,

In thanks to the brave and selfless

For their hope of our inheritance.

Those who returned and those who fell,

Those who killed and those who healed,

All who gave their life blood for thee

Are remembered here and always will be.
