Hello! This is my first fan fic under La corda... :) This actually happened to me, but not with the violin, more of making a speech. Hope you like it. Please read and review.

Disclaimer: I do not own La Corda, but I do own the plot.

He is my inspiration. I stared at him, speechless. Again, he showed his great talent, and all I do is stare. I'm not a real expert in the violin, but people think I am. He is. He really started from the basics and worked his way on top. I only copied his style. I shouldn't even be here.

When he was done, he received a standing ovation. It was too much for me to handle. His music pierced my heart and everyone else in the room. How could I ever compete with that? People respect his talent; they don't dare go against his decisions, unlike me. He took one last bow, and exited the stage. He brushed my shoulder, and gave a whisper, "don't worry, I only loosened them up for you."

"Hino Kahoko" said the judge followed by applause.

What was he making fun of me? I took a deep breath, and walked to the center of the stage. I started playing a soft sound. Then I remembered him, playing so magnificently, with such force and effort. His face showed emotion even if he didn't want to. He played calmly. He kept his cool throughout the song. Without noticing it I stopped playing. I started once again, but I was stopped.

"Enough!" The judge said.

I only ran. There was no hope for me. I would always remain under his shadow. Nothing more would come out from me. Tears started pouring out of my eyes. I sat under the big oak tree.

"Why? Why did you stop?" Len came and asked me.

"It doesn't matter."

"Hino, why did you suddenly stop playing?"

"I…um…forgot the song."

"That's a very amateur mistake don't you think?"

"Forget about it" I said as I tried to stand up. He was glaring at me.

"I know you better than that. Now tell me what's wrong!" He demanded.

"You!"I shouted at him, and tears started coming out again. He took me in a warm embrace. I could feel his arms encircle me.

"What did I do?" He said with a different tone.

"Nothing I meant me. I just got scared in the middle of the performance, and panicked."

"You want me to train you myself, so that wouldn't happen again?" he asked. I nodded against his chest. He held my chin up and wiped the tears out of my face, and kissed me.

It was short, and sweet, but I felt my whole body tingle.

Now I realize that he is there to help me and not make me feel small and weak.

Thanks for reading and hope you like it. Please read and review. Now time to do my homework….:)
