Under The Moonlight
Lightened by the moon light,
He stares across the sea
He see's the waves
Crashing on the shore
He see's the light on the water
Cased by the moon
Tiny silver stars glisten on the surface
And in the sky
This is what he's left with
This is what he was given
The sun is gone,
Just like her voice
Both have died long ago
As he stands there, long silver hair
Blowing in the wind
He is reminded of her laugh
Sweet and pure
Innocent and loving
But now he only hears the waves
They help drown out the pain and loneliness
And longing
She died long ago,
But their love for each other
Never will
He will never love,
Only lust
Lust for everyone else
Love for only her
He will meet her again,
But he will not meet her
In the spirit whelm
They will meet in a few hundred years
Maybe less
For he is immortal
He'll wait and search forever
Forever is a long time
But he will wait, for the one he loves
He turns to go but is stopped
Frozen to where he stands
He knows that scent
He knows that smile
Is he dreaming?
The figure emerges from the trees
Long silver hair flows behind her
It is I, my love, she says
Yes… it is her… his soul mate
He looks back over the sea,
How long have I stood there? He wonders
He turns back, but she is gone
He feels an arm on his, she is there
It's been only for hundred years,
And her eyes are the same
He looks down at her,
Knowing she'll never die now,
The both look back across the sea,
The moon is brighter than before,
Twice as many stars appear,
The waves ever so calm
This is what her presence has done…
It has calmed his soul…
But it also calls for and to it,
And it answers…
By the sunset tomorrow
She will be his
And he will be hers
Forever
And more
