A/N Hello lovely people. I wrote this over on Tumblr. yesterday. Gone through it for mistakes but if you see anymore then leave a note. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: Harry Potter is not mine however much I dream of it. It belongs to JK Rowling.

He trudges back to the Gryffindor common room after another rough full moon. This transformation seemed worse then the last one. And the one before that. And the one before that. In fact they just seem to get worse month after month. He doesn't think he ll ever get used to this even though he s been going through the painful transformation since he was a tiny boy.

He vaguely takes note of his surroundings. All he understands is that it s quiet in the corridors. He can hear the vague murmurs of children in their classrooms as it s the middle of the first lesson. That s the deal he has with Dumbledore - he comes back when there s no-one around to notice him. He doesn't want anyone to see him like this. He s lethargic and slouching and more than likely looks worse than those who s had the dementor's kiss. This thought takes his mind to his friends, like it always does. More and more, as time goes by he thinks about what his friends would say. Would they desert him? Would they mock him like they mock Snape? Would they be repulsed by his true nature? If he repulses himself then surely they'd be repulsed, wouldn't they?

He finds himself in front of the Fat Lady. When did he get there? He says the password. It comes off as a croak, his voice clearly tired from all the screaming he does every month. The Fat Lady lets him through. She doesn't question him anymore, not like she used to in his first year. She just goes with it, much like he does. He doesn't care though. He crawls up the winding staircase to the fourth year, boys dormitory. All he has in mind is curling up in the fetal position, under the heavy, crimson blankets and sleeping. Another part of his monthly routine. However that thought escapes his mind when the scene before him registers in his mind.

Chocolate. Chocolate covers his bed. There are chocolate frogs, chocolate cauldrons, chocolate balls and his favourite: Honeydukes Best Chocolate. There's a card in the middle of it all. He reaches a scrawny hand out and lifts it up. He sits on the edge of his bed next to the heavenly pile. He reads it:

Remus,

We've gave up wondering where you bugger off to every month but we decided to give you something to make you feel better as you look like Merlin's backside after he's ate a bad dragon leg (Sirius's words!). No offense mate. Anyway, enjoy and be thankful I (James) had the foresight to hide the chocolate frogs from Sirius. You know what he'd do and you would be left with nothing but empty wrappings!
Get some rest mate and eat, it will make you feel better!

James Sirius Peter

Remus reads it once and reads it again. He looked at the pile again and a smile crept on his worn face. Maybe, just maybe he'll be able to tell his friends about his condition at some point and maybe, just maybe they'll accept him. He reaches for a bar of Honeydukes Best Chocolate and opens it. He breaks a bit off and popps it into his mouth. The chocolate melts in his mouth. He swallows. The mouth-watering goodness lingering on his tongue. James is right - it does make him feel better.

A/N So what did you think? Leave a review and I'll get you some chocolate. ;)
