Flying
A Danny Phantom Fan Fic
By Ninja Liz-chan
Disclaimer: I do not own Danny Phantom or anything like that. They belong to Butch Heartman, have a nice day.
The house is so cold, or maybe it's just my room. I shiver as I lay in my bed angrily thinking about the day's events. Thinks of how Mom and Dad yelled at me for being late coming home yet again. It was all HIS fault. If he hadn't attacked me I would have been home on time for a change. I wish I didn't have these stupid powers!
I rolled over and looked at my clock. It read two o'clock…which means I've been here for about four hours. I still haven't gotten to sleep. I'm not even really that tired. I sighed and quietly got up off my bed. I walked over to the window and pressed my pale fingers against my window. Ever sense I got these powers I've been even paler than I use to be. I simply shook my head then and let the familiar rings of light move there way up and down my body turning my hair ghostly white and my eyes bright green instead of there usual blue. My pajamas disappeared and where replaced by a skin tight black and white lab suit. Yeah…I'm a super hero. A fairly pathetic one if you ask me.
I then reached out and phased though my wall and flew up into the sky. Maybe if I flew around a bit it would clear my head. At long as I don't run into any ghosts then I'll be fine. Being half ghost allowed me to do these things…most people would consider me to be a freak if they ever found out. Though that's not that different from how they treat me now. I am Danny Fenton, the schools biggest loser.
The city was quite for a change. I didn't see any sign of any ghosts, which made me relax a little bit. I didn't want to fight anything else tonight. I just wanted to feel the power of flight again. It felt so good, it quite possibly could be the best thing about my powers. I flew higher to watch the clouds dance above the city. It made me happy for a just a second to see the fluffy clouds that reminded me so much of marshmallows in hot chocolate. It made me forget, even if it was for only a few moments, how screwed up my life was.
I rolled over on to my back and floated like I was relaxing in a pool of water. The stars looked like jewels more valuable than any diamond. I reached my hand up at them knowing that I would never catch one. It was nice to dream though. I pulled my hand back and sighed thinking of how I should head back home. Just incase Skulker decided to come back and reenact the events of the evening. I hadn't caught him in the thermos, so he probably was still looking for me. God, I hated him.
I tore myself away from the comfortable blanket of stars and floated back towards the direction of my house. Silently slipping into my room. The next thing I really remember is Jazz coming into my room yelling at me to get up for school. I grumbled as I got out of bed and began to get ready for the hell that was school. Despite all that, I thought of flying again I smiled softly. Maybe tonight, I'll go flying again.
The End
