Hey guys, I know I've kept pretty quiet lately, I had exams yesterday and Monday that took up a lot of time. I saw my final grades an hour ago. I somehow managed to pull off an A in P.E, my worst subject even though I'm an athlete. Also, my swim team had its end of year banquet. Myself and two other freshmen were awarded varsity letters which is kind of rare. I've been thanking God for the awesome opportunity and the friendships I made throughout the season. Anyways, this story is meant to be a Thanksgiving special since I've never seen one on this site. So enjoy!

After, Wu, Misako, and Lloyd had left for a family trip over thanksgiving, Jay put the turkey in the oven early morning as Zane had instructed. The five remaining ninja had agreed to keep an eye on it throughout the day as they prepared the other thanksgiving food.

Cole, not being trusted by any of the others to prepare a decent meal, got stuck on table setting duty. After throwing the dishes, napkins, and silverware on the freshly pressed table cloth, he resorted to the game room to play some video games.

Zane had the honorary job of making the stuffing. Rumor had it, he used some secret ingredient that nobody would ever guess would be put in stuffing. (It's love by the way. What else would it be?)

Lloyd made the gravy. Jay made sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top, not a usual thanksgiving dish, but a favorite in his family. Kai made the mashed potatoes, and Nya made the pumpkin pie. Everything else was made when someone had extra time on their hands.

When at last everything but the slowly roasted turkey was finished, the others decided to join Cole in the game room.

(3 hours later.)

"I'm starving! Do you think dinners ready yet?" Kai moaned.

"Oh no! The turkey!" Jay gasped.

Zane threw open the game room door to a cloud of smoke. At that moment all the smoke detectors began to beep.

"We need to get that turkey out of the oven and fast!" Cole shouted.

Nya and Kai began furiously searching the kitchen cupboards for oven mits. After twenty some seconds of sweat endured stress, Kai finally pulled one out. He yanked the charged turkey out and tossed it out the totally not conveniently opened window.

"That was close!" Kai breathed a sigh of relief.

"Too close!" Nya panted.

"Great! Just great! No more thanksgiving dinner, and how on earth are we supposed to explain to Sensei why this place smells like charred turkey? Wait! I've got it! We're going to need like two billion air fresheners. Oh, we're so hooped!" Jay rambled.

"Jay, take it easy," Nya sighed, "We've got all of the rest of the food still, and if we open all the windows the bounty will be completely aired out by the time everyone else gets back on Monday. Let's forget about the burnt turkey and just be thankful for what we do have."

"I guess you're right," Jay sighed, "but how are we going to dispose of the turkey?"

"Let the squirrels have it?" Cole shrugged, "I don't know. Let's just enjoy what we have and figure it out in the morning."

So, the five ninja sat down to their remaining thanksgiving dinner and held hands to say a prayer. Not everything had went as planned, but they still had a lot to be thankful for, including each other.

There you go! Hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving tomorrow! Until next time.
