A Lonesome Death
Blood is the road before me
Tears are the rain which falls
Loneliness overwhelms me
No one in the distance calls
The guns have all been fired
Bodies smother the ground
My foot falls are mocking
No one makes a sound
I try to help them all
There's nothing I can reveal
I can't touch the bodies
The dead cannot feel
I should scream or cry
With the scene laid out so bleak
My voice doesn't ring out
The dead cannot speak
Now I can see them rising
From the mist among the ground
Their faces distant and solemn
They don't make a sound
We all may come to unite
Each of us a drone
Falling into each other's space
We are no longer alone
