Ron licked his upper lip hastily, hands rubbing hard at his still reddened face. "You want to, uh.. what?" Blue gaze raised nervously, head tilting to the side, teeth sinking into his lower lip gently, worrying away at the flesh. Shifting in a nervous enough manner, he began to debate if the redness spreading onto his face was more from having just come back inside from the snow or from embarassment. Squeezing his eyes closed in a hopeless effort to make the sight infront of him vanish, he opened his optics slowly after a moment or so. No, the three males were still there..
Harry, Fred, & George. The males glanced inbetween each other, faces showing of amusement. George turned his gaze back to his younger brother, hands propped onto his hips, footing shifting. "You heard us, Ronniekinz.." He trailed off, gaze casting over to his twin, grin only widening, though the rest of his expression held innocence enough. Ron knew not to be fooled by this any longer, having learned that his brothers were always up to something. Why did Ron always feel he was being left out of inside jokes & plans. Hell, even his best mate was in on it!
"Yeah!" Fred's grinned matched George's, only perhaps wider. Raising a hand, he raked it through ginger hair, tongue plastering to his dry lips. "We want to help you." Those weren't the best words for Ron to hear coming from his brothers. Now, of course, if it would have been Harry, he wouldn't have even thought about it. If Harry had been alone & said he needed help on something, Ron could have only complied. Harry knew best, didn't he? ..Well, maybe not at the moment.. But Ron could only trust, couldn't he?
Swallowing the lump that had formed in his throat in the past couple of moments, his gaze turning to the floor, which seemed to be much more interesting than the situation at hand. Though the situation WAS interesting. He just didn't want to pay it any attention. "Uhm.. Help me with what, exactly?" He kept his voice steady enough, no more shaky than it had due to his previous shivering. Maybe if he just kept looking down, they'd go away..
And then Harry was directly in his view, having bent down, one hand pressing down on the matress next to Ron's leg. "Hermione told us you were bad." He paused, lips pressing together, nose wrinkling. Ron felt sheepish, staring into the famous Mr. Potter's bright green eyes, which were searching his own face over, critizing. "Horrid, actually. Well.. At least, that's what she told us.." He trailed off & Ron took the time to notice that Harry wasn't grinning like his brothers, wasn't even smirking.. No, he was frowning. "That's what we want to help you with.."
All Ron could manage was a weak 'Oh'. Now he knew his face was red in embarassment. They were talking about that. Hermione must have mentioned it to Harry & Harry have mentioned it to his brothers.. It hadn't been his fault he was bad at it. Well, that's what he'd been telling himself. It was much too awkward with her.. He'd tried, really he had. But it had just been too.. differnt. Maybe he was just bad at it? Merlin's pants, he hoped that wasn't it.
"Exactly!" Ron jumped, glancing to both sides frantically as the twins flopped onto either side of him. "We're going to help you." Another gasp escaped Ron's lips, jerking away from George, who had leaned in & was speaking directly into Ron's ear. It had startled him beyond belief. Of course, this only caused him to jam himself into Fred, who grasped both of his arms & held him back against him.
Harry was chuckling softly at all of this, leaning closer to Ron again. "Just calm down, will you, Ron?" A slow grin creeped acrossed his face, head cocking gently to the side. "We're not going to bite you.. Very much."
