So, I'm back! :3 This idea randomly came to mind a few days ago. I love Percy Jackson and the Hunger Games, so, why not combine them?
Hope you like!
Disclaimer: I do not own PJO and never will.
It had been a few years since the gods lost the war with Kronos. We had given our best efforts, yes…but it just wasn't enough. In case you don't know who this is, my name is Percy Jackson. Son of Poseidon. If you're reading this, I assume you already know my story. I was one of the demigods that fought in that very war.
After he conquered Olympus, Kronos didn't waste any time creating chaos in the mortal world. All of the gods were banished into the darkest depths of Tartarus, just as he had been. He destroyed most of the land, only leaving a small country that us half-bloods are now forced to live in. He has us separated into "districts" by our godly parent. There are 13 in all; one for each major god, and an extra where all of the children of the minor gods are crammed together. I'm in District 4.
I haven't seen any of them in years, including Annabeth. Annabeth. Words could not describe how much I miss my Wise Girl right now. Her personality, eyes, smarts, smile…
Kronos recently announced his boredom of watching us all sitting around, moping, so he devised a game. Two children of each of the gods, one girl, one boy, would be sent to a magical arena filled with monsters to fight to the death. The last demigod alive was deemed the victor. Even worse, he drags the gods out of Tartarus and forces them to choose their children that will be participating.
It began last year, only Kronos tested it out with the Romans. Both Hazel and Frank were sent in there…it was horrible. I can't bring myself to think about it. All I know is that tomorrow, it's beginning again. Kronos will arrive at my little area by the beach and have my dad draw my name from the reaping bowl. Send me to my death.
It's okay, though. I knew it was coming since the day Kronos started the thing to entertain himself.
I just want to see Annabeth one last time…
Stupid for a beginning, but this was just an introductive chapter. Please review; tell me what you think! :)
