Spoot: what is this?
Ed: I dunno...
What is this?
He was just tall enough to reach up and pull on his mothers cote tale. Trisha Elric looked down at her oldest son Ed. "Mommy, what is this?" he asked her. he was holding up a string. "Thread." she said with a smile. Ed nodded and darted from the room. she shook her head with a chuckle and went back to cleaning the dishes.
"mommy?" a tiny voice rang out. Trisha looked up from her book to see Al holding up a potato sack. "What is this?" he asked. she giggled. "A sack," she said. "now go put that back where you found it." he smiled big and ran from the room. "Silly boy." She mumbled and went back to her book.
"What is this?" asked Ed. Trisha looked over at him as she sipped at her coffee. "Oh don't give me that look, it's oatmeal." Ed made a face at his breakfast. "Yuuuck!" he then pushed it away. "I wont eat it!" she leaned over and pushed it back to him. "you will." she demanded. "I wont." he snapped. She sighed, "alright, then drink your milk." Ed looked up and snatched up the food. "Mmmm...oatmeal!"
Trisha was on her way out the door when Ed and Al ran past. "BOYS!" she shouts, the two stop and approach her, looking sheepish and ashamed. "What have I told you about horseplay in the house!" then she outstretched her arms. "What is this?" asked Ed. "A hug." was all she said. and that was all they needed.
Al looked on in terror, as his brother drew on the floor. he was frantic, and mumbling something about 'bring her back' or something like that. "This will work Al." he said when he was finished. Al looked up at him, with tear filled eyes. "What is this?" he asked. Ed looked over at him. "A Transmutation circle."
Ed looked down at the pocket watch, then back up at Roy Mustang. he was none to happy. "Just take it. and trust me when I say, you will need it." Ed was broken on the outside, and it seemed that way for his inside as well. "What is it?" he asked. Mustang smiled. "Freedom."
Al wasnt sure if it were true or not, but this weird guy, Berry the Chopper, was making a lot of sense. he was going on about memories and how they were given to him, not real at all. Al demanded for this psycho to tell him it was a lie. But the Chopper insisted. Al felt funny... "What is this?" he asked himself, not knowing the answer.
3. Oct. 11 Winry looked up at Ed, with tears in her eyes. "What is this?" she asked. He snatched the pocket watch away from her. "you saw it?" he hissed. she nodded. "I don't understand..." he jerked his head to look at her. "This was privet!" he yelled. "Its the day...the day I will never forget, if you must know." she clutched the cloth covering her chest and nodded.
The end
Spoot: That was short.
Ed: yeah, take a damn brake already!
Spoot: I can't, I love to write!
