It was gone before I knew what hit me. But it stayed long after I knew what it was. Does that even make sense? See what he's done? I sigh and put my head in my hands. It was so abrupt; too abrupt. Now, I can only wonder. Why did he kiss me? I guess it was just something fun that he didn't want to do again. At least that's how he acts. I mean, he doesn't even try to get me alone! In fact, he acts as if the event never happened!
"Kel!" a voice calls my name. "I need some help here!" It's Raoul's. His voice breaks my train of thought. It's a good thing. A distraction is all I need. If I keep thinking about that Cleon of Kennan, I just might handicap him the next time we meet.
"Kel!" he bellows again.
"Coming!" I yell back, getting to my feet. Yes, a distraction is certainly what I need.
(A/N) Just roughly 140 words I wrote during break time about Kel's thoughts on Cleon's Midwinter kiss. I wanted to experiment with First-Person POV. Please review! Flames count as reviews. I won't mind just as long as you tell me where I can improve ^_^
Warmest regards,
Nell
