#14- Smile

Disclaimer: don't remind me... -on her third cup of coffee-

Gokudera looked out the classroom window, not paying attention to the lesson. He knew everything that they've been teaching. Since to get into the Mafia, you had to have brains of muscle. The Sakura Blossoms bloomed beautifully that spring. The warm weather and magnificent scenery, reminded him of Tsuna's smile.

Thinking of said boy, he turned his head, and faced the confused brunette. Looking at the board, 'Linear Equations, huh?' He grinned and patted his classmate's back and reassured him, he mouthed 'I'll help you.' Receiving a thankful nod in reply.

During lunch, Yamamoto had to check up on the baseball club. So Gokudera and Tsuna sat alone on the rooftop, eating lunch in silence.

"It's such nice weather! The cherry blossoms are in full beautiful and look amazing." Tsuna exclaimed while stretching. Gokudera smiled, "Yeah, definitely gets your mind off of Algebra…" Tsuna pouted at the thought. He ruffled his hair in distress, "Ack! Don't remind me!"

The silver haired boy laughed, earning a bright smile from the object of his affection.

Feeling his cheeks warn, he turned away. Causing the 10th to place a small hand on this shoulder.

"Gokudera, What's wrong?! Did I do something to offend you?" He asked, his tone drenched with concern.

"No, no. It's just that.. I love your smile! I t reflects your wonderful personality… uh, I'm sorry.. Judaime." Gokudera said, his cheeks lightly dusted pink.

He stood to leave, walking to the door leading off the roof. He was held back before he could touch the doorknob, the smaller boy, hugging his arm.

"Thank you… Gokudera-kun." He smiled brightly, his cheek and the tips of his ears blazing red.

All his life Gokudera Hayato spent his time surrounded by stoic and unwelcoming faces. He never truly received a warm smile for a long time, since his real mother died. Not one that was meaningful to him at least. Finally, finding Mafia family to accept him, welcomed with a handshake and missions, no warm smiles.

Being shipped off to Japan at the age of 14, to find this Sawada Tsunayoushi person, the '10th Vongola boss.'

He never expected to receive such a soft welcoming, a shinning smile, and a gentle, forgiving soul. This person, Sawada Tsunayoushi, a smile that could only be described by looking at fully bloomed cherry blossoms. On warm, bright sunny day.

'I love you, and everything about you.' Was what Gokudera Hayato truly wanted to say to the boss-in-waiting. Maybe, just maybe there'll be a day he can.
