Harry knew it wasn't a very good idea to bring his children to the annual lab get together. He looked around as his seventeen year old twins handed a bottle of beer to their sixteen year old brother Darius. Harry wasn't worried to much, they were in a secure environment and if they got hangovers or were sick then they would just learn from their mistakes. Anyway, he remembered when he was their age and he went out drinking, that thought made him feel very old. He looked around the room for his wife and daughter and found them both laughing at something one of the older professors had told them. Walking over to them he wrapped one arm around Nikki's waist and pressed a kiss onto her lips before turning to the professor.
"Dr Cunningham nice to see you again" the older man greeted him and Harry shook his hand.
"Professor Winchester" he nodded "It's been years"
"It certainly has" the man nodded and smiled kindly at Nikki "I taught Harry at Oxford, such a bright young man"
"What happened then?" Nikki asked seriously but grinned as Professor Winchester laughed loudly.
"This is what I have to put up with" Harry told his old professor who just shook his head and motioned over to where Emery had joined her brothers "All yours I take it?"
"Oh yes" Harry replied and groaned slightly as Edward picked up another bottle of beer "That's his third already"
"Boys will be boys" Winchester shrugged "They will learn from their mistakes tomorrow morning. Now who are they?"
"The two tallest are Edward and Graham our twins they are seventeen" Nikki supplied "Edward has the dark green shirt on, Graham has the blue one. The other boy is Darius, he's sixteen and then there's Emery who's fifteen"
"You've had your work cut out haven't you?" Winchester asked, surprised "If you don't mind me saying"
"But we enjoy every minute of it" Harry replied "It's worth it"
"Yes it is" Winchester mumbled and looked lost in thought for a second but then grinned "You may have to lock young Emery away, I can tell she's going to be as beautiful as he mother"
Nikki just blushed while Harry nodded and glanced over at his daughter as she laughed at something Edward said.
"Daddy's girl?" Winchester asked suddenly and both Harry and Nikki nodded "My youngest daughter was the same, still is actually" the older man looked over at Emery then back at her parents "When my daughter was born one of the lab techs I was working with at the time gave me a card with something written on the front that has stuck in my mind; 'Guns don't kill people, fathers with beautiful daughters do'"
Nikki laughed at this and Harry grinned cheekily.
"How right he was" he said and Winchester brought his wine glass up and clinked it against the side of Harry's.
"Cheers to that" he laughed
