A tiger stalked into the arena, I tensed with fear as the crowd roars. The fight hadn't even started and I was already breaking a sweat. The tiger slowly padded towards me as I raised my sword. I look at my hands, concealed by the shining armor I had earned in previous fights. The crowd roared again, the tiger pounces. I draw my short sword and take a swing at the tiger, it doesn't hit but it discourages it. It crouches, getting ready to pounce. I see my chance and lunge at the beast, holding my sword in front of me. The beast bats my sword away with a massive paw and quickly pins me to the ground. It bites, I scream, everything goes black.
I sat on the edge of my seat as a tiger, the most ferocious beast of the arena, stalked out from behind an unseen gate. I roared with the rest of the crowd as it walked towards the gladiator, whose armor gleamed in the midday sun. The tiger pounces as the gladiator draws his sword and swings it wildly. This discourages the tiger who pulls back and gets ready to pounce again. The crowd went silent as the gladiator charges at the tiger awkwardly, only to have his weapon batted playfully away. The deadly animal pinned the man to the ground with all the speed of Mercury, then bit. The man screamed in fear and pain for only a moment before his body lay limp and the tiger had his meal. There where yell and shouts of approval as the people in the stadium cheered for the killer. I grieved for the gladiator, for my friend.
I see a human with a glittering pelt on the other side of the gate. He would be my meal in a short time. A, somewhere, a human opened the gate and I stalked out. Even though he was on the other side of the arena I could smell his fear scent as soon as I stepped onto the sandy arena. The humans above made sounds like giant lions as I started to stalk my prey. I attacked the human, trying to feed my hunger. I stop mid jump as the human swings his killing stick wildly. As I crouch to decide my next move the human charges like an elephant with his stick held in front of him feebly. I knock the thing aside and advance on my prey, pinning him down easily. He doesn't put up much of a fight so I sink my fangs into his warm, unprotected neck. He screams for a few seconds before he dies and I can finally start my meal. I drag my kill away from the arena as the humans above me make more roaring sounds.
