Bucky looked up from the book he was reading when he heard the door of the apartment opening. He saw Steve standing in the door opening with a smile that was so big it almost covered all of his face. Steve kept standing there staring at Bucky with that smile. Bucky sighed, "Oh Steve, what do you want?" he said a bit annoyed. "I got a phone." Steve squeaked. "Great for you." Bucky said returning to reading his book.
Steve went to the kitchen to install his new phone and Bucky got a little curious why this device made Steve so happy. He walked over to the kitchen to see what got Steve so excited. He saw fiddling with a grey/silver device, not much bigger than his hand. He took a seat next to Steve. "So what does this new phone of yours do?" he asked. "It can do anything! Well not anything, but a lot. You can call people, text them, and you can play games. There's so much apps and oh you can also take pictures..." Steve kept rambling on and on so Bucky just went back to the couch and continued reading his book.
A few minutes later Steve walks out of the kitchen and takes a seat next to him. "Let's take a selfie, Bucky!" Steve said enthusiastically. "A what?" Bucky asks confused. "A selfie. A picture of yourself, with or without others." Steve explained. "Steve, I'm reading a book." Bucky said, keeping his eyes on the pages of his book. "Oh come on Buck, this will only take a few seconds!" Steve said tugging Bucky's arm away from the book. "Steve, I'm very glad you've got this phone to take pictures of yourself with-" "You mean selfies" Steve cut him off. "Yes those, but I'm trying to read this book and I would really appreciate if you would leave me to it." Bucky said. Steve ignored him and took a picture of Bucky anyway. The flash confused Bucky. "The hell was that, Steve?" Bucky asked. "That was the flash of the camera, it brightens pictures when it's too dark." Steve explained.
Bucky took the little box the phone came with and took out the instructions, "Keep out of reach from children younger than the age of three." He read. "Looks like I'll have to take that thing away from you, huh Stevie." Bucky said with a grin. "Ha ha, very funny Buck." Steve replied sarcastically. "… Not waterproof." Bucky continued to read. "That's obvious. It's an electric device." Steve murmured. "What's that?" Bucky said. Steve shook his head, "Nothing." He said innocent as ever. Bucky raised an eyebrow but let it slip.
Bucky took the phone out of Steve's hand and pushed some buttons. "So what does this button do?" he asked curiously. As he pushed the button music started playing loudly. "What the hell?!" Bucky screamed above the volume of the music. "I'll explain it to you!" Steve said as he took the phone back. He pushed some buttons and explained Bucky all about it, though Bucky couldn't really keep up and he mostly just nodded and watched. He loved seeing Steve so excited and enthusiastic about something. After some time Bucky's attention drifted away and he ended up just looking at Steve being excited. When Steve finished talking Bucky was still just watching. "Bucky?" Steve said. "Have you heard anything I've been saying for the past half an hour?" Bucky blushed, "Uhm… Yes?" He answered. "You know Buck, you're a jerk." Steve said with a smirk on his face. Bucky laughed, "I know, punk."
Bucky stood up stretching his back. "Now let's take that selfie you were going on about for so long." And a satisfying smile covered Steve's face.
