A/N: This story is my answer to the very first fanfiction challenge at CSI Forever Online. The prompt was for Grissom and Sara to go through a change, but to tell the story in less than 1,000 words. If you are a fan of CSI or GSR, I highly recommend checking out and joining the site. It's pretty awesome.

Let me know what you think of my 314 words of silliness :)

"Hey, Sara?"

"Hm?"

"Let's do it."

She looked up at me sharply.

"Are you sure?" she asked slowly, concerned. "I know how you feel about… routine."

"Are you trying to tell me I'm not spontaneous?"

"Gil Grissom, you are the definition of cautious," she shot back. "Do you really want me to start pulling sources? I have excellent references."

I glared at her.

"So maybe I'm a creature of habit," I admitted. "But I really think we should do this."

"Feeling impulsive?" she teased.

"Maybe."

I could feel her studying me closely, her eyes detailing my every move. I tried to keep my poker face, trying not to betray the inkling of nervousness I felt, because mostly, I really, really wanted to do this.

She was still staring at me.

"What?"

"I just don't want to do this, and then have you mad at me for straying from the usual," she said. "I don't think I can handle that sort of responsibility."

"Honey, I'm the one who said yes," I pointed out.

"Well, I'm the one who suggested it in the first place," she argued back.

"Are you saying you don't want to do it anymore?" I asked.

"No," she said immediately. "Gil, I… I like change. I just don't want you to feel like you have to do this just to make me happy."

"You make sacrifices for the people you love, Sara," I said. "I'm willing to do this for you. And who knows, maybe it'll be even better than the usual."

She narrowed her eyes at my jesting, but when she sighed, I could see the resignation already taking over her.

"Okay," she said.

"Okay?" I repeated.

"Let's do it," she said. "You can be on top."

She rolled off me, I rolled onto her, and within moments of the changing of our position, she was breathless.

Maybe change was good.
