Roxas froze as he heard the water shut off.

What could he say to explain it?

"Oh hey Ax, Larxene said she dropped her earring in here earlier and told me to come here and get it, damn who's using the shower... Honestly, she threatened to kill me..."

Hearts damn it.

"Roxas."

Hearts damn it.

"Um, Ax. It's not what you think it is."

"My first impulse is to ask you why the bloody hell you're here."

"I swear, Ax, I just forgot something in here earlier--"

"My second impulse is not to care."

"...What?"

"Hand me a towel."

Roxas grabbed a towel and threw it over the shower door, not caring whether he got it wet. Axel caught it anyway.

Axel opened the door, but fortunately for Roxas he had wrapped himself in the towel.

"This is so awkward," he muttered.

"You can turn your back. I need to dry my hair."

"You're not mad at me?" Roxas asked. He turned away just in time as Axel removed his towel. He flipped it to the opposite side and began to dry his hair.

"Actually I wanted to talk to you," replied Axel. Roxas, now facing the door, could hear him moving around, dripping water on the tile.

"Sure, but in the shower?"

"It works. I could care less. We're both guys, right?"

"Um, okay. What 'bout?"

"Roxas, I think that, um..."

"Are you going to tell me or are you going to stand here all night?"

"Hang on. Hand me my pants."

Roxas sighed and made a weird face. He handed Axel the only pants he could find in the cavernous room. His eyes were still closed, but somehow he managed not to trip over anything.

Axel muttered a thanks, and Roxas quickly turned away.

"Anyway."

"Are you going to say it or not? Because this is really strange and I'd like to forget about it as soon as possible."

Roxas suddenly felt arms around his waist.

"Sure you want to forget about it?"

Not moving, he didn't say anything for a beat or two.

"What were you going to tell me, anyway?"

"I think that... I love you."

"That's good, right?"

"Very."

"Then no."

Axel pulled Roxas closer.

"Very good," he repeated. "Forget things in here more often."
