In the End
Disclaimer: I do not own anything to do with Lord of the Rings. All I own is a bottle of ketchup, and that is about it.
Warnings: Kind of violent imagery.
Pov: Aragorn in the battle at Helms deep
Don't say I didn't try to save you
I yelled out a warning before it hit
Your body jerked as the arrow pierced you stomach
Turning around you sword hit another, but too late
A knife came slamming into your back
You shuddered as I caught you in my arms
Not again, I've already lost so much
Blonde hair now streaked with blood and grime
Your immortal grey eyes flew back once more
But then you were gone, in the heart of a battle
A solider, a guard, a friend now dead
No time for tears, no time for goodbye
Laments remain unsung, as you are far from home
Be at rest my dearest friend
We will meet once again
This I swear
In the end.
A little angsty poem, inspired by my first muse Halidar. I was so depressed when I wrote this, and all I could think about was the battle at Helm's Deep when Halidar is killed. Aragorn just looks so distraught. Anyway, I hope you liked this poem, and remember...feedback is always good. So please review!!!
