Hey everyone! I saw that there weren't enough Akiko/Terui fictions going on here so I thought I would make a contribution to it. I'm not the best writer in the world but I hope you enjoy it! I'd appreciate any reviews I get so don't afraid to critique me. I'm a big girl so I am pretty sure I can handle it.

Terui p.o.v.

Akiko. My Akiko. My Chief.

I don't know when I really started to care about her. Perhaps it was during that Puppeteer dopant. I ignored my feelings for her. Maybe it was to keep from hurting her or maybe I was just too blinded by revenge to see how much I actually cared for her.

Akiko changed me. She made me see things about myself that I wouldn't have seen otherwise. She made me feel loved for the first time after losing my family.

I love everything about her. I love her laugh, her smile; her scrunched up faces when she gets annoyed, her cute high pitched voice, her slipper that she uses to hit people, her stubbornness, her patience, her love.

Sometimes I find myself getting obsessed with just watching her live. I become satisfied watching her walk around the detective agency with Shotaro and Philip as they act like family.

The one thing about Akiko is that she is terribly afraid of being abandoned. No doubt brought on by her father being gone for most if not all of her life. Sometimes I hold her extra tight and softly whisper soothing phrases to her. I tell her that I love her. I tell her that if I could, I would hold her here forever and never let go. I would make sure that she would have no doubts of my love for her.

She is my Chief. She is very important to me. There is no doubt in my mind that I am absolutely and completely in love with her. I will protect her no matter what comes our way.

Akiko p.o.v.

I came home from work which was actually busy today. It was a hard case for everyone to work on. An eight year old girl went missing from her home the night before. Normally people would go to the police for such a case right? However, the family went to us because they trusted us to find her safely.

It turns out that she wanted to go to a friend's house but got lost and ended up in an alley way, completely safe and sound. When Shotaro found her, she was sleeping on a flattened out cardboard box. He then lifted the sleeping girl into his arms and carried her back to the agency where the family was waiting.

I think all of us were relieved to find her safe and unharmed by anyone. Shotaro looked at that little girl as if she was his own daughter. With the amount of love that he gives to children, I don't doubt that he will be an amazing father.

"Chief? Is that you?"

I heard a voice calling from somewhere in the apartment as I set down my keys."

"Hello Ryo-kun!" I called out to him and walked into the bedroom to where I heard the voice originate.

As I entered the bedroom, he looked up at me from a chair which he was sitting in just reading. He immediately smiled and stood up to greet me, wrapping his arms tightly around me.

"Why are you home so early Ryo-kun?" I asked slightly confused. His shift was usually longer on weekdays.

"I was allowed to come home early seeing how it was a slow day." He kissed the top of my head. "I'm not complaining though, I get more time to spend with my amazing wife."

I smiled brightly and buried my face in his chest.

He then took my hand and brought me into the kitchen where he had set up a very nice dinner. I always appreciate his meals. You wouldn't expect it just by looking at him but he is actually a very good cook.

After we cleared up the meal, we went back into the bedroom and just cuddled on the bed. We didn't have to do anything really because all we needed was to just be with each other.

I love him and he loves me and that is all that we need in the small quiet moments that we find for ourselves.
