Furthermore, to my faithful and favorite readers (and you know who you are): I LOVE House and Wilson. They are one of my favorite pairings, so no; I am not going to stop writing these. But, I still love you!

He stumbled around the room, groping for surface, finally catching hold of the back of the couch. Knuckles white, he gripped it and cursed Wilson for not giving him his cane back. It was only when they both drank that they had such ugly fights, and when he had hurled his cane at him, Wilson had left him, impotent in multiple ways. Now his Vicodin was in its cozy little orange bottle in his pocket, the coat pocket he had shed so hastily as soon as Wilson had locked the door behind him, work formalities dropped with coats and loosened ties. Hand over hand; he made his way to the foyer, stopping at the end of the couch. There was nothing left for him to hold on to, he would have to go for it blindly. He reached out for an end table, and grasped air. He went down with a gasp, the pain knocking the wind out of him. Turning over, he saw a picture had fallen to the ground. It was him and Wilson, one of his favorites. The glass was shattered.

'Nice try, but I don't believe in fate.' he said, rolling over on his back
