AN:
Okay so this is just chapter one and if you guys seem to like it I will be posting the next chapter as this is just a practice run and yes this came from watching this particular episode 5 times in a row.
I changed some things a bit when it came to the whole Lisa/Dean relationship pairing for this fic to work.
Dean only lived with Lisa and Ben, they never started anything and Sam just didn't care to find out the truth so he believed they were together.
Dean and Sam had been lovers since before John's death but since Sam got back it's as if he doesn't remember any of that.
Dean left with Sam the moment he came back, didn't even try for the normal apple pie life.

Well on with the story and let me know what you think... oh and a warning this be wincest!

Bloodmates/Soulmates

Chapter 1: Price of a Soul; Part One

Dean could hear their collective heartbeats out in the hallway even before the door opened and Samuel's scolding voice echoed through the room, "You can't even keep track of your brother now."

"Well I didn't think he'd just..." Sam tried to explain his way out of his screw-up.

"He's not himself Sam..." Samuel cut him off throwing his duffel bag down on the table, "...he's a monster and he's hungry. You have to be prepared to do the right thing."

Dean listened to the exchange with slight amusement at how Sam was being told off, the other half of him afraid of what was going to happen next. He knew he was right when telling Sam earlier that their grandfather would kill him now that he was changed into this thing.

Deciding to make his presence known Dean said, "I told you he'd kill me when he showed up."

When the two heard him both men grabbed their machetes, going on high alert.

"Did you feed?" Samuel demanded to know as Dean stepped away from where he was leaning against the dark wall next to the fridge, moving closer but still keeping his back to them so they only saw him from the side.

"I went to say goodbye to Lisa, which for the record was a lousy idea" Dean ignored Samuel's question; he could hear the older man's heat accelerate but was unsettled at how calm Sam's was during the entire exchange.

"Dean answer the question." Samuel pushed anxiously; Dean could sense the nervousness coming off of the older hunter in waves.

Turning to finally face the other two Dean growled out bitingly,
"You can relax, I didn't drink anyone but I came close."

Looking over to Sam, Dean felt dread wash over him as he could finally see what was wrong with his brother, the person that he once loved more than his own life.
Dean now understood why Sam was so cold, so emotionless. Why Sam acted if they were never more than just brothers.
Dean just couldn't figure out if Sam truly didn't remember or if what was wrong with him made him just not care anymore.
Because seriously how can you love someone else if you were missing your soul...
