Down By the Docks

Author's note: This is just a little drabble I wrote while bored at school...

I stood silently on the edge of the dock. The plain white robes swished back and forth with the wind, grazing my ankle gently every few seconds. Serenely, I watched the tides of the Atlantic Ocean .

"Hermione," a silky smooth voice said from behind me. It was a voice I knew quite well, especially after the past seven years. I turned around slowly, letting the calmness of the ocean fill me, allowing me to keep my cool.

"Professor Snape, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"That doesn't matter. The question however, is what are you doing here?" He replied.

"I come here to think. It's my safe spot," I flung out my arms and turned around, giving him a view of exactly how vast my safe spot was. He came to stand next to me.

"Why here? Of all places, why here?"

I had to think about that one. "Honestly, I don't know…Maybe it's because this is where my parents died, maybe I just like the ocean. Whichever, I still don't know, though," I replied. I turned to face him, "Now why are you here?"

"As I told you before, that is irrelevant."

I smiled. My body moved closer to him, my arms snaked around his neck. His arms slid gently around my waist, and he kissed me. I kissed him back, our tongues intertwining. We pulled back, arms still around each other. His onyx black eyes stared into my hazelnut ones.

"I love you, 'Professor' Snape," I stated mockingly. He glared at me, but as I kissed him again, he softened.

"I love you too, Mrs. 'Professor' Snape."
