The old lonely dragon sits upon the throat of the world. He meditates on his past and how ashamed he was of himself. He thinks what more can he offer then to sit on his mountain and watch over the horizon. For some consider him to be wise despite the mistakes he made killing the innocent lives of the mortals. The old dragon thinks of the lives he ended but saved many lives when Kyne, the Nordic goddess of the storm, told him to teach the mortals the power of the dragon, the Th'um, and to turn against his own brother who proclaimed he to be a god. This is the thoughts of the Gray Beard leader, Paarthurnax.

Paarthurnax had rested upon his mountain for the night when he dreamed of the goddess speaking to him as she normally did. Kyne, now known as Kanarith, told Paarthurnax something more interesting this night that she has never told him before. "Paarthurnax for you have been stuck on this mountain to long I will give you a body that will allow you to travel to all of Tamerial and I will give you a "guide" she will be by you side till the end for she will one day become dova." Kyne said onto the old one." But I am so old this guide will not accept a dragon for they will hide in fear in a new bodie or not." Paarthurnax replies with fear of Kyne's words."But understand child I will only chose one who is in good heart but know this I will always watch over you." Kyne left on that last statement.

Waking up from his dream he became aware of the world around him. Same mountain, same snow, and same sense of loneliness. Paarthurnax felt something different this morning he looked down the world was bigger, He could feel the bitter coldness of the air, but he looked down to see a pair of pale hands? He ran down the path to the Gray Beards temple. Kyne why must you let this happen to an old dragon?
