Your Side of the Bed – Little Big Town

Since it all came out that he had been involved in the RICO case his relationship had hit a wall at high speeds.

His chest hurt like he had been thrown into that very wall.

He was too jaded to care much anymore but all he wanted was for Him to look him in the eye again just once.

He missed his best friend the one who told him everything would be okay and laughed with him over his stupidity.

He missed their talks over drinks.

He hated that he had betrayed the man who was like a brother and father in one.

Now they were nothing just people who shared a common thing that was slowly losing its appeal to him.

He started to grow closer to another Son now that He wouldn't even so much as piss his way.

Really if he was being honest with himself he was on the outside looking in and hoping just hoping for forgiveness.

They had shared a bed at one time now it was cold and empty just like him.

He didn't even realize how it had happened; one minute his things were here and now they are gone.

He doesn't look into the other's eyes for fear of the pity that lay there.

He wondered if He thought about him and worried about him just like he worried about him.

He learned to live with the pain and eventually meet his brothers' gazes again.

He meet someone new, someone not anything like Him.

She was always reaching for him and touching him.

She never looked ashamed of him.

She repaired the wall and constructed a safer barrier with just a few smiles.

He no longer had regrets and no longer looked at the other side of the bed with hate.
