Four elements
prologue
redone
As the battle began to fade outside the icy dome, he sat there holding his beloved wife in his arms cradling and hushing sweet nothings into her ears. He could not cease the tears sweeping down his cold cheeks as he silently sat there begging for god to save her, but the rush of lukewarm blood sipping through his hand told him otherwise.
Her breathing became harsh and rather rabid she was close and knew she didn't had much time left. Mustering what strength left she lifts herself up from her beloved's arms and stumble towards the sacred pond. Placing her hands above her heart she sang, the soft lullaby that rang through the icy walls of the domain echoing a haunting chill that ravage though the spin of others.
As she sang a florescence glow began to grow from the place of her heart."know that your not alone..." finishing the last final verse the luminous light burst from her and flew towards the center of the blistering sky. They too burst bright of red blue green and white manifesting themselves into the dragon they were meant to be. All four flew and danced across the sky one another enjoying the freedom they were neglectfully deprived. As she stood staring up at the dragons she once possessed she smile as a single tear sled down on her cheeks acknowledging the fact she would never see them again.
As the four dragons they roared in unison sparks of fire, water, wind, and earth spars from their mouths and into the sky ceasing the very storm that occurred. Receding into glowing orbs each cast themselves off in different direction of north, south, east, and she watch the light fade from her site she collapse into her beloved arms once began to cry after all they were put through this was the end.
Why? why here? Why now? Why did she had to sacrifice everything and for what to live in a world where fights among good and evil was on a daily bases. how hard did she put herself through, how did her blood, sweat, and tears were taken so senselessly? for what exactly? Peace? That very peace that was causing her own life. A peace that of which surely will never happen.
No matter, her world was crumbling before her eyes and she could not do anything about it. She cried hard as she stared up towards the very man she so endlessly love. In his saddening eyes were tears, shocked and almost disturbed those once so happy chestnut eyes now hold darkness and it pains her to see him in this form.
She gathered his left hand in hers and kiss it she held on for as long as she could, but god she was tired. She never knew such fatigue can happen to her and wondered why she felt like this. Her eyes they began to fall into the lustful spell of sleep. As she closed her eyes for the final time shutter breathe she whispered ( I love you) and was gone.
He sat there stun and dumbfound as though she slapped him in the face even though clearly she did not. He shook her telling her to wake up he repeated the session over and over again till he realization hits him. she was not waking.
Denying this fact he yelled even louder and shook her even harder but nothing, not even a wince, or twitch. He yelled and he yelled until his yells turn to mournful cries. he cradled her close in his arms and cried into her cold shoulder his life with her flashed into his mind memories of which he would never imagine he would lose her. His pain increase as he imagine the events that will never to come, events he will never get to see.
His wife holding his first child.
He cried even harder and hold her even closer until the battle outside of the domain ended completely and the rush of old friends came, but once inside all they saw was their poor friend holding the only thing that was ever meaningful to his life.
