Uncertainty

Sokka and Suki had recently gotten married and couldn't be any happier. The two lovebirds were practically on cloud nine. They had decided to settle down in Kyoshi Island. Suki was still leader of the Kyoshi Warriors and trained the girls while Sokka trained young boys. All was well between the couple.

One thing was on Suki's mind often: children. She knew Sokka would be a

fantastic father, but wasn't too great with the labor situation after what she saw at the Serpent's Pass years back. They both adored children, but she wasn't sure if he was ready or if he even wanted children.

Suki sighed softly and got out of bed. She had to meet with the rest of the gang for dinner. It was rare for all of them to have a night off together and they were going to catch up. Suki brushed her hair and took out a dark green silk kimono with linings of gold. She slipped it on and headed towards the door. Sokka had left earlier on to help set up.

All went well throughout the dinner. Laughs and stores were shared, tears were shed at memories, spending time together like the old days. Sokka knew something was on Suki's mind when she turned down dessert and didn't laugh or smile as much, even at the story of Sokka setting his own clothes on fire at Aang's surprise birthdy party. He brought Suki to the side with him, away from everyone else and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Suki..." He sighed. "What's bothering you?"

Suki raised an eyebrow in question and spoke with hardly any emotion at all. "Nothing's wrong."

"You didn't laugh at the story when I burned my clothes. You always laugh at that! You're hardly talking to anyone as well. Just tell me, Suki."

"Sokka, it's nothing! I was just thinking about how it would be like if we had children, you know? I was just scared that maybe you wouldn't want kids and that I was-" Sokka had cut her off.

"Me not wanting kids? Of course I want children of my own!" Sokka beamed. He leaned in and kissed Suki on her lips, wrapping his arms around her waist. He went down to suck on jaw and whispered "How about we get started on making those babies?"

Suki nodded, pulling away, smiling softly. Sokka's hands rested on her hips. "Let's get to it."

Sokka picked Suki up bridal style and carried her inside. Everyone had a feeling of what was to happen and let them be. Suki couldn't be any happier.

A year and a half later, after several false alarm pregnancies, Suki gave birth to their first child. A baby girl named Yue.

End.
