Title: The Voice of the Lion

Author: Elfpen

Summary: A poem describing Aslan's voice. R&R, please!

Notes: This is one of my very first poems. Please be kind. Also, I appologize for the hyphens between the different 'sections'. 's document system would not let me simply make a new paragraph.

It is gentle, it is fierce,

It can heal, it can pierce.

It is warm, yet it's cold,

Maybe young, maybe old.

It is rich, it is true,

You feel love when He's with you.

-

Do you know it? Can you hear?

Be quiet, turn your ear,

To the sound, pure delight,

Of His voice, full of light.

-

It bubbles like a brook, it roars like the sea,

It sings like the wind, whistling through the trees.

It's higher than the mountain, deeper than black space,

And His joyful laugh will always bring a smile to your face.

-

It hums and it growls, it whispers and it sings,

It brought the whole world to life with all its living things.

It controls every ocean, it commands with mighty power,

Yet it bends to take care of the smallest little flower.

It is soft, it is kind, it loves like none else can,

It can pierce like a sword through the very souls of man.

-

Some call Him wonderful, some call Him magical.

Some say He's something that simply isn't factual.

But say what they will, call him what they might,

He is true, He is real; His is never ending light.

Darkness runs, evil hides, and the wicked flee in vain,

Icy winter melts to spring when He shakes his mane.

-

They try to mute his voice, they tell us 'don't believe',

But his roar resounds so strong and sure – It does not deceive.

His loving voice, full of might, is here known as Zion,

And Narnia knows the same voice, the voice of the Lion.

A/N: Well... I hope that was good. As I mentioned, this is one of my first poems. I have an itching feeling that I messed some poetic rule up terribly.

Enjoy, and please review
