This is my first fanfic so guys please R&R... I sorry its such a short chapter, its cinda an experiment.

A never ending love…

I slid out of the Medicine Cats den and padded over to the group of cats that where getting ready to leave for the gathering. Little did I know that this gathering was going to change my life… again.

When I gave my kits to Squirrelflight to take care of I thought I'd never have anything to do with Crowfeather again, but now….

As I jumped lightly down onto the sandy floor of the island, I smelt only the scent of WindClan. I quickly weaved my way through the cats till I stood next to Barkface.

"How's the prey running?" I asked.

Barkface nodding to me, "Good thank you, Leafpool."

I looked across the clearing to see RiverClan pouring through the bushes to greet the cats of WindClan and ThunderClan.

"Psst… Psst!" came a voice from the bushes behind me. I spun around and cautiously stepped through the bracken. I stood to come face to face with him. Crowfeather.

"Leafpool… I can't take it anymore, I still love you. Even after everything we've that's happened," He looked hopefully at me.

I hadn't thought about it in a while but now it struck me once again, that cruel but warm feeling that I did still love Crowfeather. Closing my eyes I could feel his quick, hot breath down my ear, "No Crowfeather, I promised myself I wouldn't make that mistake again."

"But I love you," sadness as deep as the lake, overtook his eyes.

"I love you too Crowfeather," and suddenly I knew that I wouldn't be able to say no again. "Meet me every half-moon at the border stream…"

Firestars call sounded from the clearing. "We'd better get back," Crowfeather slipped through the bush and I pushed out behind him.

--Crowfeather--

The moon looked so much brighter on the way back to WindClan territory. I parted from the clan as soon as we entered it, I raced over the flat grass and felt as if I was flying. My paws carried me to the border with ThunderClan. I felt so light with happiness that I think even the sliest wind could blow me away.

I had thought that my relationship with Leafpool was over until love overtook me again and I had to tell her how much she means to me… She means more than the sun, more than all the prey around the lake to me.

I thought I loved Nightcloud, but Leafpool just never left my mind. Not since that night all those moons ago when I saved her from falling to her death in the hollow. By the time Nightcloud fell pregnant with Breezepaw I knew that I loved Leafpool much more than I loved Nightcloud.

I just hope nobody finds out…
