"Narcissa, who are you going to choose?" "Shhh Remus. No talking." "Okay." He whispered. She smiled, concentrating only on him and only him. Nothing else mattered. He lost himself in her hair, her eyes, her scent. Memorizing everything about her because he knew that when she did choose she wouldn't choose him. She wouldn't split up her family even more. She would take the easy way out, she always had. It was a flaw, but he loved all of her flaws. Besides, who would ever choose him over Lucius Malfoy?

She sighed. Knew what he was thinking. It broke her heart to know that he didn't think he was worthy of her. She loved him so much. Way more than that stuck up idiot Lucius Malfoy. She loved his strength, that he was incredibly sweet even with his wolf side. She loved the way he looked at her and the way his eyes lit up when he did. But most of all, she loved that he loved her. She sighed, knowing that she would never have the strength of her sister, Andromeda, to give up everything for the one she loved. It would break her parent's hearts. She would be outlawed. Have to give up the balls, the socializing. Never again would she be in high social standings. She was vain. But that's to be expected when your name is Narcissa.

They both shook their heads and deepened the kiss, shutting off their minds, enveloping themselves in passion.

Later they lay in bed, his arms around her, her head on his chest. Neither of them saying a word, but neither of them asleep. "Remus." She turned towards him. "I love you so much. But you know what I have to do. I'm so sorry. Don't ever think that I'm leaving you because you're not worth it. You so are. And I will never ever forget you. I'll never stop loving you." Tears ran down both of their faces. "I love you too." He chokes out. And then she's gone. Leaving him with memories, and a necklace. Her necklace. The locket he'd bought her for Christmas. He opened it. Inside was a picture of them dancing in the moonlight. There was a note attached. He sucked in a breath, noticing her handwriting. "I will always love you."

Merlin she was gorgeous. She was in a magnificent wedding gown, her hair pulled back elegantly. Tears shone in her eyes as she clutched her father's arm, making her way up the aisle. He felt his eyes tear up too, the locket clenched in his hand as he heard her say "I do" to another man.

She sat at the table in her drawing room in the presence of The Dark Lord and his faithful Death Eaters. She had been zoned out until she heard the Dark Lord address herself, Lucius and Bellatrix. "You must be proud; your niece has married the werewolf." While Bellatrix denied the accusation, making sure the Dark Lord knew they didn't care for blood traitors like them, her heart pounded in her chest. Remus was married. Later, when she was alone in the bathroom, she sobbed for the man she loved. Knowing that she would never again find comfort in his name.

She ran into the Great Hall looking for her son. All that mattered was that he was okay. She saw him and started towards him but stopped cold at the sight before her. His body lay on the ground, eyes unseeing, hand stretched towards his wife. She collapsed on the floor, not caring who saw. "Remus. Oh god. Remus." She uttered his name for the first time in years. She moved her hand to his to check his pulse incase he was alive. He wasn't, but there was something in his hand. She gently pried it open and found her locket. She burst into sobs and fell on his chest. "I'll always love you." She whispered to him. She gathered herself together and closed his eyes, now dull, so it looked like he could be sleeping. Then she walked away from the love of her life for the last time, a locket in her hand.
