*Half-Life:Scientific Experience*

Info:

An idea has been in my head for a while; Make something Gearbox hasn't already.
So, this story will revolve around Black Mesa Scientist Walter Bennet. He's one of the few scientists who survived the Resonance Cascade, the Xen aliens and even the HECU Marines. He even was a member of the Black Mesa resisting force,
fighting against the aliens and soldiers. So, without further adieu, here it is,
-Half-Life:Scientific Experience.-

=Prologue: Monday, October 14th, 20XX

Today was a normal day for Walter Bennet. As usual, he woke up early,
put on his glasses, get up, comb his hair, put on his work clothes, brush his teeth, and catch the 6:15 transit shuttle. Since work started at 8:00, and it was only 6:25 when he arrived at the station, he thought he'd go to the food court. He saw Eli, Gina, Issac, Otis, and Rosenberg sitting at the table. Only 2 people were missing from the party: Gordon and Barney. Eli invited him to sit.

"Where are those two misfits?" Dr. Bennet asked as he took a seat.

"Probably late again," Eli replied, with a usual tone in his voice.

Gordon Freeman was an excellent scientist for his age. But 27 years old isn't enough experience in life to know how much jeopardy his job could be in if he didn't start waking up earlier. Mr. Calhoun, like Gordon, does his job well, despite how young he is. But he too needs to realise that you can't mosey around at will, at 25, 27, or any age for that matter, even 22*!

*(Adrian Shephard was 22 in Opposing Force.)

Gina was young as well, but at least she was more responsible than Gordon.

"I honestly don't know how Calhoun can keep sleeping in like this! He's gonna have to learn his lesson, and soon," Otis stated, showing some concern.

"Well, at least he's good at what he does, along with Gordon. We'll leave it at that," Rosenberg commented. He wasn't one to get angry very quickly.

"Ah, you're right about that. Well, I should probably get back to sector C. I need to finish a report for the administrator. I just hope the damn door isn't locked up tight again," replied Walter. He waved goodbye to his co-workers and made his way through the corridor, with his food in a bag, and his drink in the other hand. Walking down the corridor, he looked inside Dr. Newell's office.
In the window, he saw Gabe's idea of scheduled chaos theory written on a board.

Shaking his head, he walked back to his office. It should be a good day.

I hope you guys enjoyed the first look into this new series. Expect more to come by... maybe next year. Ta ta! - Andrew/Soraku
