Imagine. Being chased by the men who you trusted to trust you. Horrible feeling… Light skidded quietly, his side pounding in protest while he rounded the corner. His side hurt too much, and he needed to stop the bleeding so he wouldn't leave any more of a trail… or just pass out for the police to find him. Light broke into the next street. A black bike pulled in front of him and squealed to a stop. The man, also in complete black, screamed at him to get on. Light obeyed, gripping the man in front of him as they zoomed away.
The brunette frantically paged through his memories, trying to think who could be driving the bike. They weaved speedily through traffic. It took Light everything he had to keep from losing his stomach, or slipping into unconsciousness. He managed to figure out people who wouldn't pick him up. It wasn't L, wince, nor Mikami and defiantly not Misa. Light had watched the video of her breath stopping. She'd been gone for some time. It couldn't be Near, he wasn't tall enough. Takada was burned and Mello was as well. Matsuda wouldn't have the balls, nor would he save Light after he had betrayed Matsuda. Matt...? No, he was shot to hell.
The bike screeched to a stop. The man told him to get off and go through the doors if he didn't want to die. Light staggered over to the doors, plunging into them. He fell and shut the doors with his feet. He lay there for a second, again contemplating, but this time whether or not to get up.
After the motor cut from the bike outside, the black covered man walked into the small entry way where Light lay. He pulled his helmet off to reveal a piercing pair of blue eyes, a scar covered face and blonde shoulder length hair. HOLY SHIT!!! IT'S MELLO!!
"But I-I thought you were dead!!" Light sputtered. He could barely believe his eyes, even if he had seen odder things.
Mello growled. "Yeah, well, so does the rest of the world. Let's keep it that way." The blonde pulled Light up and to a small medical room off to the side of the entry way. Mello grumbled at Light as he lurked into the room. "If I get found out because of you, I swear on every head on this planet, I'll…" The blonde silenced and led Light to a table in the center of the medical room. Mello pulled out one simple needle and poked it into the brunette's arm. Almost instantly, he fell back onto the table.
Another brunette leaned against the door way, a white smoke stuck between his lips.
"Matt, would you go warn L that Kira has arriver?" The other nodded and slumped out of the room.
In the other corner, Near, a short white haired male, inched toward Light in such a timid way you'd think he was scare. But in his mind, the wheels spun rapidly, processing Kira's wounds. The points that would be vital to get out first… was the tearing of internal tissue really important to assess, or not? He decided to work quickly and get the bullets out first. His "medicine" would do the rest…
