She said "It's just Hollywood." Her voice trembled a little as she snuggled in closer to her lover's broad chest. The heat radiated from their glistening bodies, nude skin pressed against their sweaty slendor.
"And I'm afraid...because the boy forgets the girl. And the girl sits at home, and waits." She choked up a bit, swallowing saliva and anxiety. "I feel as if as soon as we've both come, you'll leave me right after. And by leave I mean permantly. But you promised me you won't. And you've never lied, so don't." She finished her ramble with a soft sigh.
The young man looked up towards the ceiling. His cerulean eyes were hollow; empty and used up. He couldn't give any thoughts, how could he? He was the shallow husk of a man. And his girl was a soulful, self-consious young woman who had dreams; aspirations. Nothing he could say would convince her anyway.
"If you want to go to L.A., then go to L.A. Despite the miles between us, my heart will never change. You're all that it beats for..."
He looked down from his little thoughts at the red-haired beauty wrapped up in his arms. God, she was gorgeous. But like a pretty bird in a decorated cage, she deserved to be set free. Something similar to that wasn't used to the wild however. It was spoiled, and preserved like a porcelain doll. How could something that doted on survive without him?
"I'm not saying I don't believe you...I'm exactly where I want to be...Don't you take that from me." The red-head paused.
Silence.
"You know I still get lost in your eyes? With your lips and your kiss and your hand in mine. You're all that I need. And I promise I'll sleep fine tonight. Just knowing you're hear my side...don't give this up." Her violet eyes gazed lovingly up at his face. Suddenly, realization struck through her.
"You're...you're running away. In your head. I can see it."
Again, more silence.
"I'll be here, waiting and wishing you could see how much you mean to me. But I'll just remember the promise you made..."
Nothing filled the air.
The woman furrowed. She wasn't giving up on her love. He was all she had left. It's be idiotic of her to just let him slip through her fingers.
"I'll keep on fighting. I swear I would give you the sun and the moon, if you just remember the promise you made."
Roxas nuzzled his face into Kairi's soft claret hair. "Kairi, I promise I'll remember the promise I made. I won't go to L.A. I'll stay here with you. I'll always be here with you."
And even though it was a lie, nothing had ever slipped through his lips sweeter. And it satisifed her to know that he cared enough to fib.
Boom. Goes. the. Dynamite. Reviews? c:
