Prologue

Gone, they weren't ever going to see them again.

A slump shoulder, a head propped against it and the only thing that was felt, crying. It all felt so numbing, he didn't know what to do, wrapping an arm round. Nothing, nothing was felt, a calming noise, a tear ran down his face. It was striking him. She was gone, it all felt like it was tumbling down all around him.

Everything was silent, brave, innocent, like he was meant to be wrapped and protected. That's how he was described, like a child who learning things for the first time. They didn't stop, still numb. The Doctor stared, something was wrong. He knew. It felt like something was missing from his boyfriend, his Pond.

'No, Our Pond.'

It struck him, pond the playmate, the mother, wrapped his arms round, pulling him in. Blinking as the other man seemed to gather what happened, his head on the Doctor.

They needed each other. He kept hold, he wasn't letting go. This man had managed to survive, he kept on living. He made the Doctor sane and happy. Like he wasn't lonely anymore, he had a friend, a lover. Someone to be there, to be there for too. His Matty. His Boyfriend. To live with, travel with. He always found himself in trouble from the this man. He didn't change him.

He loved every part. They were going to get through this. Him, Matty and the big blue Box. Their TARDIS. They're Sexy and Ginger. She walked in. Hugging both. "Let's go get something to make you two feel better."

This woman had fiery hair, ginger, like lightening and Matty loved her for it. His TARDIS was always there. She could help them always. The younger timelord sniffled. The Doctor led him as he followed Ginger. They were going to get through.
