Blaine didn't know why he was here.

How did it come to this?

Blaine sat in his car outside of the Lima Bean, breathing heavily.

He just went on a date.

With someone who was not Kurt.

He closes his eyes, only to be met with the memory of Eli's face coming closer to his, his lips searching out Blaine's.

He shudders at the memory. How could he have done that?

Immediately after the kiss he had recoiled and stuttered out something like, "I need to go", and ran to his car, where he now sits.

After all of the pain cheating had caused his parents, he still did this.

He met Eli in line at the Lima Bean two weeks before. They made small talk and exchanged numbers. It started out as nothing, but then Eli started to become more flirtatious and fun.

It was a nice change from his and Kurt's conversations as of late, so he immediately gravitated towards Eli's personality.

He could argue with himself and make excuses for his behavior like, "I was lonely" or "I just needed to be close to someone", but deep down he knew that he was still a little put out at Kurt for the Chandler incident. If Kurt could have a "sexy text buddy" why couldn't he? He had never wanted it to go this far.

He considered calling Coop, but he didn't want to have to hear the disappointment in his voice.

In the end he had decided to go to the McKinley auditorium to play the piano.

He sat for hours trying to come up with a new take on Teenage Dream that he could play for Kurt when he visited him in two weeks.

It finally came to him, and he started to cry. He had to tell Kurt what he did. Or what he had let happen. He couldn't live with this guilt for the rest of their lives.

He hoped that he had a "rest of their lives" after he told Kurt what he did.

His thoughts circled that very idea for hours until he finally decided to just jump on a plane and go see Kurt then and there.

He boarded his plane.

He arrived in New York.

He took a cab to Kurt and Rachel's apartment.

He knocked on the door, and Kurt opened it.

Seeing that huge, gorgeous smile on Kurt's face made his heart ache. He ruined this. It'll never be the same after he tells Kurt.

Kurt goes in for a kiss, but Blaine pulls back to just peck him on the lips. He feels like he's infecting him with his lips that no less than 24 hours ago had kissed another boy.

They go to a karaoke bar, where Blaine decides to play the new Teenage Dream for Kurt.

He doesn't even make it halfway through the song before he breaks down.

On the walk home, he decides to tell Kurt everything.

Kurt doesn't say goodbye.
