Sasuke; You got bored again didn't you?
LC; Yes, yes I did. On with it!
Disclaimer; I don't own Naru-chan or Sasu-chan! WAH!
It was early in the morning, October tenth, and he and Naru were in their daily spar. For some reason, he was able to land more hits on her today then yesterday.
She seemed distracted, like she wasn't even there. She was just going through the motions, the same thing that had made her angry when Sora had done it.
Finally, unable to take this meaningless work out anymore, he held her in a chokehold until she came back to the present.
"Teme, let me go!" She snapped angrily.
Upon doing so she took another ready stance, he just stood there. "Something wrong?" She asked innocently.
"Why are you holding back?"
He'd said it, the reason he was angry with her at the moment. She was holding back. Naru Uzumaki never held back! She always went all out!
"What are you talking about teme?" Naru demanded, hands on her hips. "I'd never hold back on you!"
"That's why I'm asking." He deadpanned. "Your not suppossed to hold back, but you were. You were just going through the motions of training."
She held her arms at her side and stared at her feet with a dead expression before grinning at him.
"Sasuke, what's your honest opinion of me?" She asked joyfully.
If he'd only known just what she was asking, he would've gone off and destroyed the village like he'd originally intended.
"Your annoying." He could've cut out his toungue, that would've been less painful then seeing Naru's expression of hurt before it dissappeared as quickly as it had come.
"Yeah I guess I am to stick-in-the-ass like you!" She stuck her toungue out at him and began running after he started chasing her.
Had he known what would happen later that day, he would've given up his sharingan to change it. He'd have given his eye sight! Anything, if only she hadn't left him.
Even to that day, he'd felt his shoulder twinge like the mark was still there. But Naru always made it go away, always helped him and never even resented him for almost killing her!
He'd have gladly gotten a thousand more marks, if he thought it would've helped in anyway.
"Dobe, your still too slow." He'd just caught up to her when she vanished in a puff of smoke. Her laughter filled the clearing as he searched for the source.
Had he noticed how hollow her laugh was, he would have asked her what was wrong.
"Come on loser, we've got to go home and get a shower before the festival." He said after searching and chasing her for nearly an hour.
"Right!" She said, running off to get herself a warm shower.
