Disclaimer: I do not own Ninjago or any of its characters. The only characters I own are Alex, Lucas, and Echo. Tove is owned by Madi (madi51000), Lillie is owned by Bryanna (Bubbly Mahomie), and Vanessa is owned by Alyson.

I would like to let everyone know its really late and this was a last minute idea. Please do not flame me, I try my best. It's not always they way people expect because I'm not what most people would expect by first glance. Thank you and here's my story...

Echo peeked into the bridge. The young Ninja of Storm had been sent to bed at nine even though it was New Year's Eve. She always had stayed up before the ninja let her stay, and she didn't find it fair that they were exclude her just because she was only seven.

The door opened and Alex stood there, glaring down at her younger sister. She smiled and picked her up. "I thought we sent you to bed," she said, teasing her a little.

"I wanna watch it turn 2014," Echo defended. "I always got to stay up, why is now any different?"

"I don't care how you always do, you're seven and you're going to bed," Misako scolded.

"Come on, Mom," Lucas said. "Let her stay up."

"Yeah, I'll go to bed super early tomorrow!" Echo promised.

"I say we let the kid stay up," Cole agreed.

"Misako," Wu said, hinting that she should give in.

Misako sighed. "Fine, you can stay up. But you're going to bed at sunset tomorrow."

Alex put Echo down and the young ninja ran over to her mom and hugged her. "Thanks Mommy," she said.

Alex returned to her seat between Tove and Vanessa. "Okay, so New Year's resolutions. For mine, I've decided to be less stubborn."

Kai couldn't stop himself from chuckling. "You. Less stubborn. Let me know how that works out for you," he teased. "As for me, my resolution is something more reasonable. I'm going to stop letting Alex win during sparring."

"Letting me win? You have got to be joking," Alex mumbled to herself.

Before Kai could say anything, Nya said, "My resolution is to cut back on midnight chocolate."

Jay let a small laugh slip. "Mine is to stop doing stupid stuff when I'm around Nya," he told them.

"Good luck with that," Cole joked, making the others laugh a little too. "My resolution is to get even stronger and to be an even better leader. It's going to be tough considering how awesome I already am, but I'm going to try."

"Of course that's your resolution," Tove muttered. "I can't think of anything I need to do."

"Uh, maybe be a bit less detached," Alex suggested.

Tove shot a glare at the Ninja of Weapons but nodded. "Fine, I guess I could do that."

"My resolution will be to unlock my true potential!" Echo said excitedly. She was now sitting on Lloyd's lap.

"That's a great resolution," Lloyd told her. "And I be you'll accomplish it."

The ninja continued to talk about their resolution and time flew by. Before they knew it, the ball in Ninjago City was a minute away from dropping. Echo yawned a little as Vanessa unmuted the television. "This is it, eh," she said. "Any last words for 2013?"

"Yes, let this year be over with," Garmadon murmured.

The ball slowly began moving. "Ten... Nine... Eight... Seven," they all cheered together. "Six... Five... Four... Three... Two... One!"

All at once, the ninja, Nya, Misako, Garmadon, Wu, and Dr. Juilen took a drink of their fruit punch. Cole and Jay called their families to wish them a Happy New Year. They stayed up a little longer, Echo ending up falling asleep on Lloyd's lap, before heading to bed. Ready for the new year ahead, filled with new discoveries and new challenges.

So yep. Please review and leave your resolution if you want. Happy 2014! My resolution is to be more organized and to be a better person and try to help those in need.
