I normally don't do AUs. Or romance, for that matter. Fluffs are fun though. :3 Kitten, I hope you like it! I've been offline a bit, sorry. I hope this is a good-enough apology. :\ Enjoy! (The pairing came from that scenario game. It went from Crack to Fluff, Huh.)

It starts with one look. That's all it takes. Then, you see her, sitting on the rickety bench, suitcases nearby. She pulls a strand of her blond hair behind her ear, fidgets with her bright pink skirt, doesn't even notice you. Not yet, anyway. You can feel Squirtle nudge your shin. He may be hungry, he may want attention. You really don't care at the moment. You look back, and she's fixing her gloves, pulling them tightly over her dainty wrists. The bench squeaks a little as she moves, and as she tilts her head to check her flight on the screen, she spots you. Ears burning, fists tightening, you're afraid that she caught you staring, though it's not like that's such a bad thing. Did she know you were watching all along? You turn your head away, embarrassed.

The bench squeaks loudly. It always had, when someone relieved it of their weight. All the years you gave out tickets, you've heard it squeak, squeak, squeak. Squirtle nips at your ankle. He's hungry, you're supposed to be working. No one wants to check a flight though. No one wants to buy a ticket, or complain about airline food. However, someone taps their small gloved hand onto your desk.

You look up, to see a face smiling as she glances at you, when back to the flight board. It's her. She moves her hands from the table, tugs her dress again, glances at the clock.

"Do you know when the flight to Sasahara Land takes off?" She asks, her eyes glued to the clock.

You swallow. If she talking to you? Squirtle hits you again with his head. You're too surprised to tell him to stop.

"Well?"

Sasahara Land? That's right, a flight should be landing from there soon.

"Red, is it?" She asks, pointing to your nametag. "Can you please tell me when it's going to arrive? I have to make sure I'm on time. It's my first flight."

You pull up your notebook, running through times and dates . You spot it. Sasahara Land. It's scheduled for a quarter to three.

"It should be here in a few minutes, Miss." You stutter.

She looks back at you, and her worried expression melts into a smile.

"Thank you."

For a moment in time, you stand there, taking in her gentle smirk, her bright eyes. It's still, for a second. You stand, behind your awful counter and ugly uniform, and try to smile back. The smile ruptures though, into a huge grin, and you're beaming uncontrollably at her. She giggles.

Time unfreezes. Squirtle tugs at your pant leg, an intercom screams that the flight has arrived. You look down, fix your slanted tie. You can hear her tap her high heels as she walks over and scoops up her bags from her spot near the bench.

"I'm Peach, by the way." You hear as you fiddle with the crookedly pressed tie. You look up to see her, one last time, but she's gone. A flash of pink is seen drifting into the terminals. You don't chase after her. You don't need to. She has somewhere to be, you have a job to do. But, at least for a short time, you got to see that beautiful smile of her's up close.

NOTE: Sasahara Land is Daisy's homeland, I believe. If I'm wrong, can someone correct me? Thanks for reading! :D
