From Finn's perspective. Reviews and favorites are always very much appreciated.

He felt the darkness slowly lift from his eyes and a sudden awareness of his body took its place. Pain took its place. He was overcome by it and it pried his eyes open from his nothingness and he groaned in pain. His breath came in short bursts when he took notice of another presence in the room and looked to his left where he tried to focus his eyes. The woman seemed familiar.

"Rey?" He managed to mutter in his pain.

The person there smiled. "No, Finn. It's Leia Organa."

He shut his eyes in an attempt to reach into his memories. Why was there a pain when he tried to think of his friend?

"Finn, do you remember who I am?"

"The-" He swallowed hard realizing his mouth was dry. "General." He rasped.

She handed him a small bottle which he drank from eagerly with great gulps. "Do you remember what happened on Starkiller Base?" She inquired.

There was something that was just out of his reach to his thoughts, something big. He felt his breath stop when he recalled the battle and he covered his eyes recognizing the sting of tears, "The last thing I remember is- her falling." He choked, "She… was dead."

"No, she made it." She smiled reassuringly at him from the bed parallel to his.

He felt a heavy weight roll off his shoulders and His eyes now watered from relief rather than sadness though the physical pain remained.

"She's alright. She's alright." He repeated to himself.

She sat in silence and let him cry.
