My Heart

By: Starlight Harper

Sasuke watched as Sakura walked down the aisle. She was so pretty wearing her wedding gown. He thought that she was the prettiest woman he has ever laid his eyes upon. He smiled at her. Sakura smiled to… but to his dismay, her smile was not for him…

Thought he was only looking at Sakura, she, on the other hand, was looking at another man. He moved aside when she came closer to him to give his was to his best friend, Naruto, the man whom the woman he only love would be marrying.

Sakura and Naruto looked really a happy couple as they stood before the altar. Sasuke tried to give his most beautiful smile to the couple. He even wished them for their happiness. It was really hard to breath by just looking at the woman he wanted to marry someday marrying another man. And what hurts him the most was the fact that the one he loves was marrying the man who is almost like his brother.

When the wedding ended, Sasuke thought that he was dying. As the happy couple walked towards the church doors, he was left standing at the altar watching them. If only he had the courage to confess his feeling to her. If only he showed his love to her. If he just told her what he really feel for her…

Sasuke sighed, unable to do something to stop his heart from hurting. He walked towards the pew and sat there. He started contemplating on the past.

"Sasuke!"

A familiar voice called him. He glanced to where the owner of the voice was. He saw Kakashi waving at him.

"Let's go," Kakashi said.

He smiled at him. "I'll follow later," he said.

Kakashi nodded and left.

Sasuke sighed again. He looked back at the altar. Then he noticed a figure sat at the other end of the pew he was sitting on. He glanced at it and saw a woman wearing a white dress. He could not help but to stare at her. She was pretty but not as pretty as Sakura for him. Her skin was really pale and so were her eyes.

"Do you love her?" the woman suddenly asked but not looking at him.

"Excuse me?" he said. A bit dumbfounded to what she just asked him.

The woman finally faced him. Looking straight at her face, he could tell she really looked angelic. "The bride. You love her, right?"

He was speechless. How come that this woman asked him a question like that. He didn't even know her.

The woman smiled. "I was watching the wedding… And I can't help to watch you… How you smile at her… How you faked a smile when she held her groom's hand… You try to conceal everything you feel by showing a fake smile to everyone."

His eyes widen in surprise. He could not believe on what she was saying. Was he really that transparent? "Who are you?" he asked.

"I'm the one…" He could see the sadness in her eyes even though she was smiling. "…who loves the groom," she said.
