"So?" asked Illusion "Did ya git it?"
Hurricane Walker looked at her best friends and slowly opened her hand.
"Excellent," said Fearless as the sunlight danced off the stolen ruby necklace.
Illusion undid the back of the pale violet dress Hurricane wore and helped her out of it.
"So Fear, How much ya tink we can git outta it?" she asked as she slipped her normal clothes back on.
Fearless looked at the delicate necklace that laid in her dirty hand and shrugged.
"Quite a bit, I tink," she replied.
"Say, 'Cane." Said Illusion "Me and Fear was talkin and we tink it's time we be movin on."
Hurricane wiped the sweat off of her forehead with her arm and looked at them.
"Sounds like a plan," she replied "Its bout time we got out a dis god damn heat."
They waited all day in the tiny room they had been holed up in, then when it was night, gathered their things and walked to the train station.
"Jus once, I'd like at ride in a passenga car," said Fearless as they slid into a freight car.
"Ah, it's ovarated," said Illusion patting her on the back.
Hurricane smiled in the darkness. On the move again, she thought as she leaned against the wooden frame of the sturdy car. She could barely make out the shadows of her friends faces as the car slowly started up.
"Where we headed?" asked Fearless.
"New Yawk," replied Hurricane.
"When we getting dere?" asked Illusion.
"Anyone eva tole you two ya ask to many god damn questions?"
Hurricane sighed heavily.
"Tomorrow, aftanoon." she exclaimed.
"Why New Yawk?" asked Fearless.
"Why not?" was Illusion's reply.
Hurricane laughed and closed her eyes. The first thing she smelled when she woke up was cow manure.
"What da hell?" she asked.
"Farms," replied Illusion.
Hurricane put a hand to her head and shook away the rising headache.
"Where's Fear?" she asked.
"Still sleepin," replied Illusion "I swear dat goil can sleep through anyting."
She nodded in agreement and looked around the tiny car they were in.
"Damn, we picked a winna, didn't we?" she asked noticing how tiny it was.
"Yeah, last night it started to rain and now we'se all soaked," said Illusion.
"Passenger cars seeming not so ovarated now. Right?"
"Not so," she laughed.
"Hey!" yelled Fearless "I tink dats our stop comin up."
"Hey! We thought you was asleep!" said Illusion.
"I was."
