Prologue - Picture Perfect
Picture it, a perfectly beautiful white bricked, black roofed mansion, with a balcony that had a beautiful view of the sunset cast over a serene lake. The mansion itself sat 12 acres of grass, trees, and beautiful singing birds. But that balcony, it led to the perfect couple's master bedroom.
"Relena will you stop this?!" He begged "Get out of my house you bastard!" She cried, her honey blond hair swaying from side to side in her ponytail. "Why are you acting like this?!" He pleaded. "Its bad enough you did it, but its even worse, I had to find out from my MOTHER of all people." Relena snapped in a quiet voice, hoping the maids weren't listening in. "It was a mistake, and I regret it now Lena, please, just.." "No, no more excuses, no more apologies, no more." Relena announced as she began throwing her husband's clothing in a suitcase. "I'm tired of listening to your excuses, I've listened to them all my life. Quite frankly, I don't want to hear them anymore." Relena's usually cheery azure eyes were dull and full of hate, for the man, the man she thought she loved.
He was tired of chasing her around the master bedroom, he was tired of dodging large objects thrown at him. "Relena I told you it was a mistake, what more do you want from me?" Relena went to her desk and pulled out a small packet of papers. Then threw them at him. "Sign them, every last one of them." She demanded. "What is this?" He asked. "Divorce papers. Papers I should have gotten you to sing years ago." Her voice was coming out in shaking heaps now. Hr threw the papers down and walks over to Relena. He pulled her into a fiery kiss, which Relena quickly ended with a slap on his face. "That doesn't work on me anymore." She yelled at him pushing him away. Relena laughed in spite of her tears rolling down her face. "That's all I ever was to you wasn't I? Some toy you could turn off and on with your passion and your kisses?" Relena asked crossing her arms over her power blue T-shirt. "Isn't that right?!?" Relena screamed throwing a vase with wilted roses at him. He quickly dodged the flying vase and cringed when he heard the sickening crash it made against his favorite painting.
"Relena, I love you, and I'm asking you to forgive me. We're too good of a team........too good of a couple, to break up" He pleaded. Relena shook her head. "You should have thought of that before you had an affair with that whore of a woman." Relena said. "If you want me to leave, I will, just say the words." Relena handed him the divorce papers. "You can fax them to me." The man sighed in defeat as he picked up the suitcase packed by Relena, his black trench coat, and his car keys and walked out the door, "Oh and Heero," Relena called out. He stopped and turned to face Relena. "Don't make to much noise when you leave, I don't want everyone to hear such commotion." Relena said coldly. He turned back around and walked out the door, never turning back, yet knowing he would regret the fact.
Relena stood in the same spot for over an hour thinking, hoping, wishing, that'd he'd burst back through that door and plant another steamy kiss on her lips. Yeah, they've fought before, but he always came back. But this time, she knew.....everyone knew, it wasn't going to happen. "He didn't come back....." she whispered. Tears slid down her face. "He didn't come back....."
That balcony, it led to the master bedroom where the thinking, hoping wishing, teary eyed honey blond stood......crushed.
