In an empty room, a body rests. A man with a robe enters to the room, smiling broadly. His long hair is tied up in a purple ribbon, matching the color of his eyes, those which are covered by oval glasses. Alias: Shuu Iwamine.

"Hohoho, such a curious specimen we have here", he says, laughing at the girl. "What's your name, dear?"

The corpse stays motionless.

"Of course you can't answer, love. I know for sure your pretty little tongue is not inside your mouth anymore" he adds. "Why did you make me do this? You look even prettier inside your glass case, anyways. It's incredible how death can change someone, don't you think?"

The room stays quiet. The only sound which can be heard is the doctor's giggles while he looks at the student's head.

"Oh, I always have wanted to know what was going on inside this little head of yours" he murmurs. "Now I can confirm it's nothing. You always seemed like the type of girl who didn't think her actions twice. Of course you didn't. If that wasn't the case, you wouldn't be here with me, darling."

He opens the glass case where her head is standing, and holds it like a mom would hold her child.

"Your hair is so soft…" Shuu sights. "Why don't you look at me in the eyes, just this time? I want to see the terror expression which was in your face on that day. I only want you to do that".

The long haired man lets go a burst of laughter and stares at the head again.

"Wait, I remember "He laughed again." I already put your beautiful eyeballs inside another jar so I could see them even if I lost your head. Oh, how I wished you only loved me". He smiles. "Now you do, don't you, dear miss Tosaka? Because of my love you are with me now. Now I can stay with you forever. Not until death tear us apart, of course. Not even death can separate us, hohoho…"

The monologue continued as he smiled creepily at Hiyoko's head.

"I still have the cleaver as a souvenir of your death. Do you want to see it? It still has your fresh blood spilled on it…" He licks his lips, looking at her neck, observing the veins which were cut on their end. "Sometimes, I like tasting your delicious fluids. I never knew human blood could be that delightful…"

A bit of melancholy is heard from that final sentence, as he leaned in to kiss the cold lips.

"I loved you. You were such an important piece in my life. Even if all I wanted to do was seeing your corpse" the doctor says. "Why did you do this to me? Am I nothing compared to that Sakazaki kid? Nothing? Nothing at all? Tell me, Tosaka; tell me why you have chosen him over me…"

He sighted again.

"Sometimes I wish you answered me" Shuu says. "

The girl who used to be his helper doesn't open her eyes.

"You can't flee, dear. You can't even think about it. I've already taken your brain away from you. Oh, such a precious possession I have now".

The scientist observes the conserved corpse with lust.

"You've called me a mad man before. But I wasn't that kind of mad man" he cries. "I was mad for you, Tosaka. Why couldn't you just return my feelings back? It was that simple. One phrase and you could stay alive with me. Just one phrase, you could just say it and that'd be the end. 'I love you too, doctor Iwamine'. I only asked for that".

"I just wanted to stay with you. I thought this could do. But it's not the same, dear. It's not the same."

Shuu puts her head inside the case.

"It's better".

"NO! IT'S NOT BETTER! IT'S NOOOOOT!" Hiyoko screams as she wakes up inside her cave. Her heartbeats are strong enough to resound inside her ears, and she touches her forehead to find cold sweat covering it. Her heart is racing, and she feels she's lacking breath.

"Such a nightmare…" Hiyoko sighted, covering herself with her blanket and putting her back on the wall. "Remember to quit working in the infirmary… this may mean something…"
