Hermione stepped onto the platform and stared at the gleaming Hogwarts
express. It was her last year at Hogwarts and she wanted to make the most
of it. Her first step was to give herself a complete makeover and spending
summer in Paris, she had done just that. What used to be a slightly chubby,
slightly short beaver-toothed frizball was now a lovely young woman.
Hermione had straigtened and streaked her hair and it shone in the golden
sun. She wore make-up, but sparingly. Hermione had definitely grown up and
she couldn't wait to see the looks on Harry and Ron's faces! Of course they
weren't as close as before, seeing that Hermione was the only girl in the
trio but Hermione felt as though Harry and Ron were her brothers not just
her friends. She still had Ginny to talk with about all the girl stuff-
something Ron and Harry, however helpful and understanding they could be,
just couldn't get. And of course there was always Parvati and Lavender, but
they seemed to get just a tad bit carried away. Hermione felt a little
nervous. What if no one could recognise her?
'Don't be silly Hermione.' She thought to herself. Hermione bid farewell to
her parents and walked down the platform. She wore a white skivvy with a
red plaid skirt and a matching red beret. Perched on her nose were a pair
of sunglasses. She pushed her trolley towards the train, Crookshanks
purring loudly on top. Hermione tried lifting her suitcases but frowned
after finding that they were a bit too heavy for her. She looked around
with her hands on her hips eyeing someone stronger than her. Preferably a
male. She spotted a young man wearing Hogwarts robes.
"OY! You there! Can you help me out a bit?"
"Sure Miss, the suitcases?" said the young man said politely.
"Yes please." Hermione said. She eyed him suspiciously. He looked very
familiar. He had silvery-blonde hair and quite a muscular build. She
noticed his piercing gray eyes and she looked rather dissappointed when she
saw his Slytherin badge.
"Will that be all Miss?" said the young man. Hermione was about to answer
yes when she spotted a Head Boy badge pinned to his robe.
"MALFOY?!"
"Granger? What are you doing here?"
"As you can see, I am Head Girl. And you, are Head Boy." Hermione said a
matter-of-factly.
"I knew that. But why am I helping you?" Draco muttered to himself.
"Because," said Hermione overhearing Draco, "you obviously thought that I
was someone else." Hermione chuckled at the thought.
"It's not funny." Draco said, a little sternly.
"Yes it is. Now lets get on, the train's about to leave." Hermione stepped
onto the train. The journey was rather long and Hermione had to sit with
Draco but she chose a seat opposite him and kept herself busy with muggle
novels and extra homework. She was trying to finish her extra credit
Potions assignment when the train jerked uncontrollably. Hermione swayed
and almost upset her bottle of ink but she held onto the bottle tightly.
She began to feel a little uncomfortable
