Here's a sneak peak.

Jennifer and Suzanne entered the dark attic.

"Remind me again why I agreed to do this," Suzanne whined.

"I'm your favorite cousin," Jennifer said. "And plus, you owe me for last week when I covered for you at the store."

"I let you keep the money you made," Suzanne said.

"Stop complaining," Jennifer told her cousin.

Jennifer flipped the light switch. The lights turned on to reveal a huge pile of books.

"That's a lot of books," Suzanne said. "Hopefully Goodwill will take them."

"We might want to keep them," Jennifer said.

Jennifer walked over and grabbed a book and looked at the title.

"Come here Suzanne," Jennifer said, "this says July-December 1920 on it."

Suzanne walked over to Jennifer. "Let's read it."

Jennifer opened the book, "July 1, 1920."

Hello there. If you are finding this, then you are in luck.

My name is Jack Rawlings.

I was born on January 1, 1900 in New York City.

Today is July 1, Canada Day.

This day is very special because today I am moving to Avonlea.

My mother Janet recently told me she had 2 older half-sisters.

Their names are Elizabeth, Jane, and Isabelle.

I am moving to become acquainted with them.

I am extremely nervous, but here I go.

Jack Rawlings exited the boat onto Avonlea. People everywhere were doing fireworks. Jack smiled as he breathed in the salty air. At that moment, a man drove up in his automobile.

"May I help you?" the kind man asked.

"No thank you," Jack said. "I was just breathing in the salty air. It's quite different here than in New York."

"Where are you headed?" the man asked.

"Into town," Jack replied.

"Well hop on it and I'll give you a ride," the man said.

"Well thank you," Jack said. "I've never been in an automobile before."
